We were told this was a good choice for lunch by locals and also by tourists. They were right, we were four and tried four different plates and everyone liked their food.My favorite was our appetizer, we ordered the anafre, it is refried beans with melted cheese, chorizo and tortilla chips. I also had a lemonade with soda that was really refreshing. Something everyone must try and it is included with most entrees is the tortillas, they are made with real corn not corn flour and they are small, fat and delicious.Their price are good, for less than $10 you can eat a good healthy meal. I strongly recommend this place.

Finca Bavaria is a beautiful family owned hotel/bar/restaurant. The family who own it are the sweetest, kindest and friendliest people in town. The food is delicious, with authentic Honduran cuisine at reasonable prices, and there are menus in English too! The Finca regularly hosts events such as rock and roll concerts, music at the bonfire and even gallery events! It's the best place in town to get to meet the locals and really get a feel for Honduran culture. It's very safe and you're well looked after by your hosts. It's also called 'Finca' farm for a reason, and if you take a stroll around the property you'll find lots of coffee plants. If you're interested in birding or going to the mountain Celaque it's well worth asking here, and Finca is a regular meeting place for the local birding club. You can't go to Gracias and not stop in Finca Bavaria!
It was a really a treat to visit El Gran Cogolon! Their service was outstanding and very friendly. The place was clean, very nicely decorated, with pictures of the town and some nice murals. They have a nice outdoor terrace with a great view of the town and the surroundings. They had good selection of wines and some delicious entrees. They also had national beers and coctails. They specialize in pastas and they'll cater your taste buds. They played a nice selection of music, the volume was comfortable, not too loud or too low. It was a nice way to spend the evening.
