Great local bar but you would be more comfortable coming here as a local or at least with a local. Get the flavor of the Gloucester community. Service is good, made us feel welcome. Did not have food today but my wife has been here before and says it is very good and consistent bar food.

Don't be put off by the outside appearance. This restaurant serves amazing fresh fish, steaks, chinese and sushi. All cooked to order and served by friendly staff. Thanks to Monique for her recommendations of the local places to visit which were really great. Come here with an empty stomach as portions are huge. Wish I lived nearer but 3000+ miles is just too far for a night out.

It has been a while since we have eaten at 525. We had a terrific meal. We started off with their smaller Caesar Salad. Glad we ordered small. It was a generous salad with fresh greens, crouton and a light-hand on the dressing. Perfect way to start off our meal. My wife ordered their season miso glazed chicken and rice bowl. It was delicious with the glaze imparting a pleasant and unique taste balance with the rice and vegetables. I had their signature soy and root beer marinaded steak tips with mashed potatoes and green beans. The tips were tender and flavorful. The mashed potatoes were dressed with bacon and the green beans were fresh and prepared al dente. For dessert, we shared the upside down apple pie in a jar. A perfect end to an excellent meal. We definitely had a wonderful return and plan to be back again, soon. For a final note, our server, Aja, was friendly, informative and helpful.Thank you so much! So happy you enjoyed everything and thanks for taking the time to review us, we so appreciate it!

We went to Trio on a Thursday night and sat at the bar. We shared the mussels and a small vegetarian pizza. Both were excellent! The mussel broth was very tasty and a nice variation from the more typical wine based broth. The small pizza was a really good size (we had leftovers) and the veggies were plentiful with a delicious crust. Also, the beers on tap were $3. I will definitely return!

We are a local family run restaraunt. We specialize in burgers! But, we have just about anything for any taste. Great for just a date night, a quick lunch or a family dinner.

This is not a restaurant in fact they do not serve food. It is more of a dive bar but well worth a stop . Everyone was friendly including the bartender . My wife sat next to a guy who look like Charles Manson and she asked me to change seats with her. "Charlie Manson" said to me do I make her nervous and I said yeah a little. He laughed and said I have that effect on a lot of people. We had a good laugh over this. It was a good stop. I had to go here after reading the book years ago and seeing the movie .

Stones Pub is conveniently located on the portion of Main St that usually has available on-street parking. This is why I went there for a recent solo lunch and really enjoyed it. The server was friendly and prompt, the menu had something for every taste. I ordered the Pearl Country Club hot dog with French Fries. The all beef hot dog was bigger than the usual size and was topped with a generous helping of tasty sauerkraut. I really liked the combination. The fries were nice and crispy, not greasy. Since I was by myself I took my time, reading a magazine while eating. I never felt rushed and the server didn't bother me but kept an eye on whether I needed anything. I would definitely eat here again.

A tour guide at Beauport suggested this as a âpub that locals enjoy with good food.â That is probably the best description located just at the edge of the downtown this pub was filled with locals having lunch or a drink. The food was very good and I was happy with the vegetarian options. The portabella sandwich was delicious as was the cole slaw. My husband had the grilled halibut and praised it as fresh and cooked just right. The waitress was friendly and efficient. The place is well run. Orders were taken shortly after we arrived. The food came quickly but we never felt rushed. Our bill with 2 excellent iced teas $32.

All food and beverages were great, but the wait staff is young and inattentive. TWICE I had to get up and seek out our server who was about 20 feet away sitting and talking with another server at the outside bar. There were a total of three parties outside at the time and two of those weren't even her table! I concur with other reviews about disappointment. It has great potential but management better wake up... there are too many other great choices in downtown Gloucester.

Oysters were good, menu selection was great. We loved the baked oysters during the Oyster Tuesday! Bartender Tyler was awesome! Oyster shooters were amazing! Tad spicy but good! Clam chowder was to die for!
