Things to do in Glenelg
Love the ambience of this rustic seaside bar. They always have a great one man band playing rock or pop and the espresso martinis are the best I have ever had!! A fun and relaxing place for winter or summer or any time of day. Excellent service... oh and try the shared platter too.

The Glenelg Club is a community and family venue open to everyone. Located at the picturesque Gliderol Stadium in Glenelg, we offer a unique venue only minutes from the beach and 15 minutes from the city, with meals offered from 12:00 until 2:00 and 5:30
The Bay Bar & Bistro at the Glenelg Football Club is a great spot for a drink or meal. I am a little biased as I am a life long Bays supporter and live very close to the venue. However, we often dine there with friends, many of whom have no connection to the football club and they all seem to enjoy it as much as we do.Also, it's very pleasing to see that breakfast is back on the menu on weekends. When the weather is fine and the folding doors are open you have the whole oval to view and for kids, it is the ultimate playground.Food is generally to a good pub standard and the meal prices are very reasonable. The wine list is up to standard and also fairly priced. We eat there almost weekly and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a casual dining option with plenty of parking and a pretty good view.

The Holdy is one of our âlocalsâ and as such, we have seen the highs and the lows there over the last couple of decades. The dining room is a great space and the kitchen does a pretty good job, most times. And most of the time, the service is very good.Food and service were both spot-on for most recent visit.Easy parking, choice of 3 spaces to dine in and a menu thatâs as good as most.Overall, concisely good, and better than many of the local competitors.

After the movies in Glenelg, we decided to go to lunch and The Holdy is close. We chose a table out of the way and looked at the menu. They have a regular menu, a Chef's Special menu and a Senior's menu, too many choices! One of my friends selected the Lambs Fry with bacon, very old dish but because she doesn't cook it anymore, she decided to order it and she said it was delicious. My other friend had Fish of the Day and chips, she opted for grilled rather than battered and was pleased with her meal too. I decided on another old style item, crumbed loin lamb chops with mashed potatoes and although very tasty, they were difficult to cut.I have been to The Holdy before and will definitely go again.

A familiar family favourite, if we are eating at Glenelg, is The Rocks and Pantai at Glenelg Pier. The environment in the two restaurants is consistently excellent and the views of Gulf St Vincent, particularly at sunset, are absolutely picturesque. Service is always at a high quality as well.We visited The Rocks on Sunday afternoon. I sat on the wall couch near the window. The seat was exceptionally satisfying and comfy; however, I personally didn't have the best view of the sea. Generally Pantai has better views. You can still have The Rocks menu at Pantai, as the staff are used to this happening. As usual, service was very good. Staff are always friendly and respectful. I have never had a bad experience with their staff. We did have a slightly longer than expected wait for our main course after our entree. This restaurant does cater for Uber eats as well as Room Service for the Glenelg Pier hotel, which appeared to be doing a booming trade tonight, which probably contributed slightly to the delay. The delay was not excessive and did not take anything away from the overall experience. Now; for the most topic, the food review. For our entree we shared the Arancini entree serve. This was really delicious. I loved the way it was served and am kicking myself for not bringing my phone to take a photo. The Arancins themselves were lovely but I really loved the Aïoli and dill sauce. For my main cause I had the Crispy Skinned Barramundi. This was served on top of a beautiful salad and Japanese Pumkin. The Barramundi was lovely and tender and the dressing was tangy and all in all really nice. Presentation of both meals was excellent. My father said that his squid was also excellent and he would recommend that.Once again, I was really impressed with The Rocks and will certainly be back to our favorite; and most frequently visited restaurant in Glenelg. Well done The Rocks at Glenelg Pier!

It is so hard as a vegetarian (and vegan) to go out to a pub and order something other than chips and salad, or a vegetable stack. Finally we can go out to a pub which offers a selection of good-quality vego/vegan food.If you have a vegan friend, you can be assured they won't be stuck with boring food. Meat eaters might even be tempted to try the vegan prawns, or vegan spaghetti bolognese. Actually, if vegans order the bolognese for their meat-eating friends, they may not even be able to tell the difference.Thank you to Broadway Hotel for catering so well for vegos. You are leading the field in alternative food options, especially in Glenelg. By the way, the staff are all very helpful and friendly.Thank you very much for your review. We are so glad that you had a great experience at our hotel.Your endorsement of our business is very much appreciated and we are glad that there are people like you out there that appreciate the time, effort and thought that goes in to catering for everybody.Look forward to having you back in again soon.RegardsMark(Owner / Manager)

Was really expecting something special, was left feeling disappointed. We were in a party of 7 which consisted of my husband, our son, daughter in law, 2 grand daughters, 1, 3 year old grandson and myself.Yes there was a good display of food. However nothing was hot. The Chinese consisted of to many fried chicken dishes. The Chinese veg dish was just large chunks of broccoli and cauliflower nothing Chinese about it. The roast beef and pork were nice and tender but on going back the beef was a bit to rare as it was bleeding. Salads were quite nice but some of the prawns were slightly too soft, maybe left out too long. The children loved the desserts. I don't eat dessert so I can't comment on them but they looked nice. For $37.95 per adult I found it expensive. I think I would rather of spent this money at Lims Chinese in Glenelg but our son suggested this all you can eat as the children love helping themselves and picking what they want. The venue was packed with young families and older couples.
