Bought a discount coupon and decided to use it. It's a 20+ minute drive from where we live. Drove by once and thought hmmm, not sure. Parked the car and went in. Very glad we did! The service and food were great. Looking for upscale. Go elsewhere. Looking for friendly and welcoming neighborhood bar with great hotdogs and great value Franklin Tavern is it. Only way to improve upon it would be to open one in downtown Dayton where we live.

The closest bar to the Hilton, and well worth taking your life in your hands to cross the road. Beer choice will keep you entertained whilst eating the huge portions of great food. Charming smiling waitresses and very helpful bar staff make the rusty bucket experience worth traveling for. Sports screens showing American sports to a great selection of rock tunes at a sensible volume get a thumbs up from me.

This bar/restaurant just opened. They are still getting things finished and are serving a limited menu: pizza, subs, wings. The inside is beautiful. There are plenty of TV's so you can watch sports from any spot. They have outdoor seating. The restrooms are also roomy and attractive. Definitely worth giving them a try.

Came across this restaurant while searching for a place for a Valentine's day dinner. We were not disappointed. Great relaxing and cozy atmosphere. Service was friendly and food was very good. We had the Watermark burger and the Meatloaf Wellington. Both were very good. Will definitely be back to try some of their other dishes.

This is one of our go-to restaurants when we want an excellent, relaxing meal. The food quality is always very good. They have such a large menu with so many good choices that it is difficult to choose what to order. My favorite dish at Chumps is the fried chicken tender toss salad. It is loaded with chicken and cheese and is best with honey mustard dressing. (Don't you love restaurants that bring you two servings of dressing instead of one?) Chumps always has an excellent beer selection with lots of choices on tap. Seating in this sports bar style restaurant is either inside (booths, tables, or bar) or outside on a large patio. Service is always prompt and friendly. They have a very well-trained staff. My only complaint is that when exiting the restaurant you walk out onto a rather narrow sidewalk with traffic whizzing by only inches from you. Perhaps a decorative iron fence could be erected at the edge of the sidewalk to keep patrons from walking directly out into traffic. Just be careful as you leave. When you're ready for a relaxing meal of quality food, T. J. Chumps should be your next stop!

I have taken two out of town family members to Bennett's Publical for lunch at different times. The food has been delicious each time. The service was good and waiters and waitresses friendly. The tables and booths are far enough apart you feel comfortable talking and visiting. My granddaughter who was 15 months old when we visited Bennett's was enthralled with the TV's. She loves doggies and there was a dog show on the TV near our table. It was wonderful to visit with my daughter and granddaughter on their visit from Montana.

Florentine Restaurant

Reviewed By TJouer

We recently dined at the Florentine during a weekend evening. Our first clue that there was going to be a concern was that there was no one at the host stand, and approximately 10 people ahead of us waiting. We had reservations and were seated at a table for four in the main room. The Florentine has a rustic ambiance, and there's a brick fireplace. The canned background music is a bit loud.We proceeded to wait another 30 minutes for table service. We procured our own menus from the server stand and our own drinks from the bar. We were very close to walking out and driving to another restaurant.I had the savory meatloaf entrée with au gratin potatoes. The food was served hot, and the meatloaf sauce was a sweet tomato with tiny, chopped, onions. The clearing of the table and the drink refills were equally slow, and there was another long wait for the dessert orders to be served. I selected the coconut cake which was moist and had good coconut flavor. Our server apologized for the original long wait, however we will probably not venture to the Florentine since it is a bit of a drive for the poor service we received.
