Iâve been to the Tap a few times, and it is a nice local hangout. The beer menu is great and the food is moderately good. However, the last time I went with a few friends, we sat out on the deck on a Friday night around 9 after about a 20 minute wait. By 10:30 they were all but kicking us off the deck, boxing up food that we hadnât finished yet, removing all silverware and plates, and practically shoving the check down our throats. They were doing this to everyone around us as well. It seems strange to rush people out on a beautiful summer night. It makes me think twice before going there again.

Fried clams were first rate. Pub burger thick, delicious and cooked to perfection. Grilled chicken sandwich top notch. Interior is dated but in a charming way. Everything was a bit old fashioned which is to say utterly enjoyable. So pleased we CBR. Keep up the good work. A real antidote to todayâs plastic world.

Peddlers daughter is the best restaurant bar in downtown haverhill. A real Irish pub with delicious food and drink. Staff is friendly. Excellent drink menu and tap list. Nothing is better than a smith wicks with the bangers and mash. They do a proper poured Guinness as well.

Came here with another couple who have been here before...waitress was introduced to us as in training but capable....from the beginning it was obvious that she couldnât handle the 4 of us alone...got drinks wrong...had to ask 3 times for a glass for my beer..finally another server delivered it...my ribeye with mashed came out less than room temperature.and not medium rare as I asked...very tough and difficult to cut....the other meals were fine... haddock...and salmon.....we were seated in the middle of the the 3 rd floor dining room.....within 15 min of arriving we were surrounded by a large obnoxious group who continuously bumped into us as we were trying to eat...they never sat..they just hovered around the dining room.....terrible experience...canât see any reason to return

You enter this keen looking facility, the staff are warm, professional, and hard working. Our server Karen was quite diligent in her service to us.They had a special St. Patrick's Day menu; three of our party of four chose from that menu. This writer picked the Bunless Hamburger.Beverages arrived promptly. Now I commend the BT for serving properly brewed iced tea; too many facilities in this area don't. Happy points for the tea.Two of our party ordered the Corned Beef/Cabbage. Mass quantity, thin on the protein. My wife ordered the Guiness Beef Stew, exceptionally thin on the protein, the broth was lacking density and flavour. I doubt it would sell in Galway, Limerick, or Cork.My burger was an excellent piece of protein, appropriately cooked, and quite good. It was served on a conglomeration of vegetables that lacked flavour, the fineness of the meat was not supported by the base. A side salad called "Caesar" was really plain but a strong complement.Prices were reasonable although the tea charged by the glass was a little high; as good as it is.High marks for service, Karen is determinedly proficient. The kitchen had some hits and a few misses.

Ladies and Gentlemen; this is a sports bar. This means noise and loud..But the server (Lainey?) is cheerful, proficient, diligent, and her advice on the best burger was wholly correct.Yes, the burgers, think there are about one thousand forty five varieties, I may be a bit off; are splendid. They are cooked correctly, served hot with neighborly vegetables and pickles and the fried potatoes are some of the best I have had in Massachusetts. My two associates felt the same. This was a good choice.

We had our rehearsal lunch here the day before our wedding and the management and staff was great. We had been in correspondence with the manager and kitchen manager for a number of weeks to set the menu and make sure everything went well.Everyone at The Spot did a great job of welcoming us, making sure everything had drinks and that the food kept coming. Our server was able to take care of all 25 of us and remember who ordered what for drinks. They were able to set up our food buffet style, which was great!Make sure you order their poutine! So good!Hey Dave,Thank you for writing such kind words about us! I really appreciate it coming from someone who has worked in the industry. We are also honored you chose to dine with us for your special occasion. We hope to see ya'll soon and congratulations on the marriage! Thanks,Todd BekeshaManagerThe Spot
