My wife and I visited the mill for the steak night,we both had the ribeye m/r,it came with fresh chips, mushrooms, griddled tomato and peas.we ordered fresh onion rings and pepper sauce each.OMG.It was fantastic, the steak was cooked to perfection all the way through, the fresh onion rings were to die for.our only gripe was the chips needed another 2 minutes in the fryer.pleasant staff and a nice atmosphere. The 2 steaks plus the extras and a pint of Guinness and a decent size glass of dry white wine came to £32-80.we will definitely go again.Thats a comment from a former chef of 40 years.

Family run traditional public house with restaurant, beer garden and children's play area
Never tried it before, but went for Sunday lunch just after 1pm, so expected it to be busy. It was - obviously very popular, and we soon found out why. The staff couldn't have been more friendly and helpful - Lewis behind the bar offering a taste of my chosen pint first from an interesting range of real ales, Freya backing the others up, and Pauline working her socks off ! We did think the meals looked a bit expensive, but that was before we saw and tasted them. I've never been amazed by a chip before - it's only a chip ! but the first mouthful stopped me. My partner raved over the fish - as good as any pub next to the sea in Cornwall. Plus side orders. Plus served up in 5 minutes. Plus a cheerful atmosphere. I really do wonder if FJGCLG was at the same White Horse as us and most other reviewers? We will most definitely be back - we only live 5 miles away and this will become a regular stop.

Light pub lunches in a modern style and classic Sunday lunches
We've known about this place for years, only just going round to trying it - for Sunday lunch with friends. Booked for one o'clock, not busy when we arrived, several staff around all giving the impression that they would do what they wanted to do first and then attend to us, although this attitude did improve to an extent as time went on. The interior is delightful, really well decorated and fitted out, a very pleasant environment. Orders taken reasonably quickly although the whole meal was at a very leisurely pace - again, seemed to come to our table when they remembered abut us rather than in a more timely fashion. Choice of chicken, duck, monkfish or veggie option: between us we had all three non-veggie dishes. Very nice presentation on the plate, well prepared meat and separate vegetables. Portions on the small side - we are not young and don't have big appetites, polished the whole lot off with no problem. with a bit of a feeling we could have managed more. I think hungry youngsters might have been more disappointed. Coffee is coffee, unusual not to have a choice these days. Good bar range and reasonable wine list. Food prices very reasonable. So, overall, a lovely environment, good straightforward food very well prepared and cooked at a good price, service could definitely have been more friendly.

Idyllically located in the centre of this historic Suffolk village, this attractive 17th Century Pub is now a community owned free house and restaurant. The cosy bar area is known for its wide range of well kept real ales from a variety of local breweries
Decided to try out the new chef's food on a Friday lunchtime and it was so good we booked for the roast deal (2 courses for 12.95) and we were not dissapointed! Great food, good portions and lovely atmosphere. You could tell the staff and volunteers are proud to serve this food. I know this chef is only temporary but it does show how fantastic our little pub can be with some reasonably priced, yummy food on offer. I've reviewed before and thought I'd update on here our new experience. Had a lovely afternoon and thank you to Julie for making the ice-cream special for Joe! Can't wait to come back again for food now!Thank you for your glowing report! We're so pleased that you've enjoyed the food, service and atmosphere on your recent visits. That's what it's all about. Greg, our temporary chef, has certainly worked wonders in a short period of time. You are right - our staff all love working here, whether paid or as volunteers. It gives us all tremendous satisfaction to help customers have a special and memorable time at the Cross Keys. As you say, it's a fantastic little pub!

A beautiful and charming beamed property with fabulous and far reaching views over the Waveney Valley
We have been to the White Hart so many times and the food is always delicious. Most of the staff have happy smiley faces and are very friendly. The food always comes out quick and is always of a high standard. The only one 'complaint' that I would have is that in the warmer weather it is so hot inside. We came as a group and sat in the 'side room' to the right at the end of the bar and there was no air flow and no windows that would open so we were melting in there - maybe a tower fan in the corner of the room for hot days could help?

Visited here for lunch today with 6 adults, 1 baby and a dog. Staff were absolutely fantastic, especially paying attention to the baby and dog. Excellent service. Food was fabulous. Perfect ploughman's! Very well priced. They even have an Alexa in the restaurant so you can chose your music! Would definitely recommend.

Norfolk villages are very strange. You find really random things in the middle of nowhere; a huge Bed centre, a local swimming pool, an alpaca farm and then The Burston Crown. Ok so Norfolk is famous for having lots of pubs, but most people venture into the towns like Diss and Bungay etc for food. Norfolk is a real black sheep and has these incredible pubs hidden all over the place. This pub is one of those incredible pubs. I first came here for a Christmas party in 2015 and the food was fantastic! Fresh, wonderful flavours and great and interesting combinations that work. Hats off to their chef, they certainly know flavours and how to pull a meal together.I have been here many times since and it has yet to disappoint me. The food, be it dinners or lunches, have always been fantastic. The big two things this place does that many don't are both consistently great food and fantastic friendly landlords who make you feel welcome. The atmosphere is lovely. Beams and in the cold a roaring log fire to keep you warm. Just the right kind of decor and very clean and uncluttered. I do try and find at least one negative or critical thing to say in my reviews, but I'm going to be honest here and say that I'm struggling to think of anything. Thank you to the chef, workers and owners for working so hard to make and keep this place fantastic. If you are passing by you really must stop in and treat yourselves to some great grub.

It sounded like this was a pub with pretensions to Italian food but its actually a really good restaurant in a pub building - fantastic food (interestingly diverse pizza, and by far the best I've had out of Italy), excellent atmosphere. Really remarkably good - well worth going out of your way to eat here.
