Ate here again on our last visit before heading back to Canada. The service was fantastic, great selection of beers and the food was delicious. The food is homemade on the premises. I opted for the fish and chips, which were great, golden brown battered fillet and good portion of chips, and green peas. Highly recommend

Whilst working away I get to eat in off the cuff places and to be frank this was the only local one to where I was staying. The staff all in all were great. The chef was obviously suffering with PMT which was humorous to watch and didnât affect his cooking skills as the food was outstanding. Probably one of the best pub foods Iâve ever had.And the bar lass poured a cracking pint of Guinness.

While Londonâs just a short drive or train ride from Gatwick, you might want to make time for nearby Brighton too. This vibrant seaside town is teeming with bars, theatres and shops, plus of course some great British beaches. Head back for a delicious din

We visited for a family event and being far from home ,a different culture and like seafarers landing on a distant shore we sought compatriots , fellow travellers, friends , we found in this small establishment everything those lost at sea might hope for . Particular thanks to the Afro Caribbean young man behind the bar whose obvious care and compassion who did the extra mile to make our journey home with disabled in law so very much easier . The server , and manager who both made sure that this special event wasnât spoiled by a simple spelling mistake , so much extra special . I have always said that sometimes the food can be secondary to the experience and in this case the food was reasonably good the overall experience wonderful , thank you so much .

We had a meal on a Monday evening about 5pm. Tandoori prawn and crab cake starter were lovely and both main courses were great too, especially my one which was the duck in a really fabulous sauce. Nam bread was also spot on. Service great, friendly staff. Would highly recommend and go again. Thank you.

Went there for the first time with company friends for a lunch. We ordered various dishes for staters, main, and desert. The starters were brought within 15-20 min and was delicious. The main followed thereafter. The ribs were massive !!There is plenty of space outside while inside provide some tables. The toilets are clean as well.

The Curious Pig Pig in the Parlour is a new pub with beautiful accommodation, only 7 miles from Gatwick airport. Offering expertly cooked, charcoal oven steaks - including 28 day dry-aged Black Angus cuts, and homemade pizzas cooked in our imported Italia
Our family booked for Sunday afternoon after reading the fantastic trip advisor reviews. The children would normally chose off the childrenâs menu, but I encouraged them to have a roast dinner. They absolutely didnât regret it. We all thoroughly enjoyed our beef & chicken roasts. The restaurant is cosy and spacious (hate it when the tables are too close to each other!) The service was brilliant. We all had just enough room for chocolate brownies and cheese cake for dessert...delicious. We canât wait to go back for another roast dinner. Dear Macfade,Thank you for the 5 star review! We are so pleased to hear you all thoroughly enjoyed your recent visit to us!We are happy you and the kids loved our roast dinners! Our chefs take pride in creating fantastic tasting food with high quality ingredients and not to mention it is all made freshly from scratch. I cannot recommend our roast beef highly enough as it is made from a sirloin cut and is absolutely delicious so I am glad you enjoyed that as well as the roast chicken! We hope to see you soon!Kind Regards,May Heal

My wife and I ate in the restaurant one evening whilst staying overnight. Service was good, quick and friendly though restaurant not over busy.Food was enjoyable with a reasonable choice though a bit pricey. £15 for a meat pie with veg and mashed potatoes? Good choice of wines but why have the list printed on a scrappy bit of paper, I can't imagine that the choice changes on a daily basis. However, the wines were definitely over priced, especially as this is a pub restaurant. We enjoyed the meal but wouldn't go out of our way to revisit

We were looking for a typical Sunday lunch for my sons who live abroad and were flying from Gatwick in the afternoon and this was it - lovely old building smelling of wood smoke in a pretty village. They opened early to allow us in and served us a superb lunch - two roast beef and two roast lamb meals with fluffy, light Yorkshire puddings, beautifully roasted potatoes and a mix of carrots, cabbage cauliflower, sugar snaps and broccoli in a thick tasty gravy. We strugged to finish this but then managed delicious possett, pannacotta and ice cream desserts. The service was immaculate and we were absolutedly delighted with the meal, staff and surroundings. A perfect family meal before my sons flew away
