Visited with friends on Monday night - all main courses on the menu are £5. This is incredible value - no smaller portions and no rubbish quality. All freshly cooked and piping hot. I had a medium steak with chips, peas, onion rings and tomato- steak was cooked to perfection. You can see the quality and size of my friends mega burger. Great deals on throughout the week and smashing service with a smile.

Dissappointing meal that caused us all to have dessert just to fill up. I'd selected the venue for a family tea but it's not somwhere I'd choose again. The service was good and quick, dinner came within minutes of ordering. However it was warm and lacking in content. The extremely large Yorkshire filled half of the plate and little effort was made to fill the rest. We all selected the triple meat portion which in total added up to the size of a chicken fillet. Not great for a family of meat lovers. There was no mash either but I'm guessing the three roasties were meant to fill you up.Expected so much more for the price. Highly dissappointed too that they didn't apologise either or offer an alternative because they had no stuffing stuffing left.... I leave you to make your own conclusions as to whether or not we'll be returning.

Great local pub for us we had the new Spanish chicken dish which was really tasty and consisted of diced potato, chorizo and chicken with a rich tomato sauce we will definitely be back.Stephy9017, thank you for your kind review; we are happy to pass along your comments to the team here at The Brockwell Seam!

Weâve dined at M&C regularly across the restaurants in the north east, but have been a regular at this one since it opened. Our last visit (August) was nice, but we were let down by the rather tiny but overpriced starter. However, we do enjoy it here so decided to book for Friday night. We were promptly seated and orders taken reasonably quickly. The waitress was very welcoming and pleasant and our drinks and meals arrived quickly. Due to our poor experience with the starter sharing board last time, we opted for a garlic bread which was nice and did the job for two of us. However, the steaks were rather on the fatty side and the onion loaf was rather small and dry. We also ordered medium/well and (again) they arrived incredibly well done. We did notice that the lettuce wedge was slightly smaller than weâve been served before, and the dressing was a little sparse. We comment that the whole meal seemed to be smaller than previous visits. Itâs also a nuisance that you canât use the rewards on the app over the weekend.Unfortunately, I donât think weâll be racing back to this M&C, which is a real shame as the atmosphere was nice and the service was friendly and efficient. Weâve had some lovely meals here, but sadly been disappointed by the last two times weâve dined here.

Had a family meal here on a Saturday. My Mum has eaten there quite a few times and recommended it but I was disappointed. Had the sticky platter starter which was nice. However the waiter recommended we order something else as the platter wouldnât be enough for 5. Actually it was but we took his advice and ordered dough sticks. They were very odd, not like I expected. Sort of non sweet doughnut sticks. Very fatty and not great. I had a main course of lobster fish cakes. If there was any lobster in them it was barely detectable. They had cheese in them which overpowered every other flavour and I would not have ordered them had this been made clear on the menu. They were also overcooked and there was no sign of the bouillabaisse sauce they were meant to come with. My Dad had the vegetarian pizza which came quite a wait after the other main courses arrived. It wasnât worth the wait apparently and he said heâd had much better in Wetherspoons. Too much butternut squash. Much as I like butternut squash it has no place on a pizza in my opinion. Though I appreciate these chain pubs are tied into their menus. My daughter had the calamari which had a chorizo seasoning on which she said it could have done without. Overall it wasnât a bad meal just âmehâ and I wouldnât be in a hurry to go back. On the positive side, the service was very friendly and the place was nice and cosy.Dear Ltspuddy,Many thanks indeed for taking the time to leave your feedback regarding your visit to us.Please accept my apologies that on this occasion you were do let down by the food quality. I do wish you had brought these issues to the attention of the manager on duty so that we might have acted upon them. As you quite rightly put we are somewhat tied to certain specifications regarding our menu, however we would want these executed perfectly every time which does not sem the case on your visit.I do hope you will return to us in the future so that we can restore your faith in our wonderful pub and many thanks for your comments regarding the service.Kind regards,Simon

Visited a couple of weeks ago with my husband for lunch . Loved the dog area outside. Inside service was fast and efficient and thereâs a brilliant selection of drinks . I wasnât overwhelmed by the veggie options but the food was nice. During our meal we noticed about 5 wasps next to the window . Iâm not prone to dramatics but I honestly was getting a bit panicky about being stung and so were the other tables around us so we moved and I mentioned the young lady serving that the wasps were causing an issue. She was really casual about it and said she would sort it out. As we were leaving 20 mins later we reminded her about the wasps and she said oh yeah Iâll get the spray. I understand some things are unexpected and out of your control but this spoilt our dining experience. Will maybe come back in the winter.Hi, thank you for your comments in food experience. Unfortunately nature is sometimes beyond our control and this year seems to be worse than previous. If weather is hot outside then it's hot inside, therefore doors have to be kept open. The wasps are hard to keep out especially when we are surrounded by fields and sugary drinks. . This was a huge issue to us and normally on the ball. I'm so sorry the wasps spoilt your experience they are so annoying. Will hopefully have a better solution next year. Thank you Kathie

Expensive for what you received. Menu had a poor selection for our taste. The food we ate was of good quality and service was good. A couple of draught ales on hand pump.. Service was good.

Been today for lunch . We were amazed at the size and choice of menu . If not a little concerned at what the quality of the food may be based on the options available . But we were very impressed and pleased . Each of us had different items but were very happy with what we got and the quality .The value was good also . Will go here again .
