We opened in April 2012 in the former Dean's Toy Store (where seemingly everyone in Congleton got their first bike). Apparently Mr Dean had seen a drawing of Bonnie Prince Charlie hiding in our cellar, so we gave our bar this otherwise irrelevant name. Pa
Arrived on a Wednesday night at 10.30 but all the chairs were on the tables and we were told they had finished serving desire the board outside saying open until 2300. We were with friends and had ordered a taxi to pick us up they're at 11.15. Disappointing. We had a lovely pint in the Prince of Wales instead and they were most welcoming. We were really sorry to learn about this, and yes, you are quite correct, we should have been open until 2300 as the board says. The matter has been raised with our team at the YP, so this shouldn't happen again. We hope that this experience has not put you off, and we look forward to seeing you soon at the YP, where you can be assured of a warm welcome.

Dating back to the 16th century, Ye Olde Kings Arms is the 9th edition to the Titanic fleet,of Titanic Brewery in Stoke-on-Trent. This historic public house has retained its olde world charm, with real fires, beams and low ceilings. Serving an eclectic mi
We called in for lunch after shopping. Lovely warm atmosphere with friendly staff. They have a £5 main course black board with plenty to choose from, we chose steak and ale pie. It was plentiful with chips and peas, very tasty too. The pub is situated on the high street so is convenient for the shops. Will return again.

Delight in the beautiful Cheshire countryside at our welcoming inn. Look no further than the Waggon & Horses for a delightful pub and bed and breakfast in Cheshire. In the tiny village of Eaton lies the picture-postcard Waggon and Horses public house. Be
We stopped off here on our way back home to Manchester from walking the Cloud. Food was very slow and when it arrived really greasy and horrible, we did get a check back after about 10 minutes but weâd waited about 45 mins for our food so just ate a bit and paid and left. The burger was really fatty and covered in gloopy mayonnaise, the roast dinner was tasteless and fatty. The team behind the bar stood around looking like they didnât want to be there apart from when they were running food or stroking guestsâ dogs - a great combo. I wouldnât return and actually wouldnât visit a Robinsonâs pub again based on todayâs visit - we still feel a bit sick now from our meal

We are a traditional country pub in South Cheshire with a warm and cosy restaurant that serves traditional pub classic food freshly made from locally sourced ingredients. We have two open log fires and an ambiance that means no loud music, fruit machines
What a fortuitous stop for lunch at this idyllic country pub. The pub itself has wonderful views and is immaculate and welcoming. The Sunday menu was imaginative and excellent value and fulfilled all expectations - my whitebait was the crispiest I have ever been served and the pear ravioli with feta cheese and leaves was absolutely delicious. To finish (couldn't manage any of the wonderful sounding puds) we had a cafetiere of superb coffee, so often a disappointment in Pubs. We will definitely revisit with the Grandchildren. Have I mentioned the excellent Wine List?

I visited here with family on Thursday evening and the service we received was outstanding. The lady on the floor was working hard to make sure the busy restaurant was kept on top of, whilst also entertaining my young daughter. Our meals came out fast and where good quality. Added bonus of having a wacky warehouse on the side. My family will definitely be backHi Hazjohn, great to hear you enjoyed your visit to our pub and it's lovely to read your comments about your experience, I'll make sure to pass them on to the rest of the team. Hope to see you again soon! Kayliegh Deputy Manager

Booked in here with family for Fatherâs Day. Food was just about bordering average. Bit disappointing to be honest considering the prices. Frozen chips with my burger, and the roast dinners a definitely not worth £9.95. And as I wasnât drinking I had blackcurrant cordial and was charged £1.50 which is a complete rip off. Service wasnât brilliant either. Wont be returning. thankyou for taking the time to review us. i'm sorry you didnt enjoy you vist to us this time, i remember you calling us in the morning to incress your table which we managed to move our other bookings aroud to accomadte you, im sorry you didn't like the chips with your burger there are always other options availible to accompony your loacly made steak burger e.g. full salad. skinny fries, sweet potato fries, homemade wedges, jaket potato or mashed potato if you so wish. as for the roast not beening worth £9.95 we only use the best locally saucered poduce that is all prepared and cooked fresh on site, im sorry you felt this way but we sell alot of roast dinners ever week and always get great feed back about the quality and great value for money that our roasts are. as for the pint of blackcurrant cordial being £1.50 please remember your not at home, we are also providing a service you have the option of complemtry ice (the ice machine cost over £400 to buy) the member of staff that served you, the waiters to clear your glasses from the table then to wash the glass in the glass washer that cost over £1500 to buy plus all the other utility bills that need to be paid there for we feel that £1.50 is reasonably pirced for your drink. I personally remember coming to your table to ask if everything was ok and every one said yes, if you had of mentiond some of your concerns at this time i could of tried to make your vist to us more enjoble. i'm sorry to here you wont be returning to us but we wish you well in your future dinning experiances.

Better than your average pub style cuisine, but then higher than average prices. Generous portions but there are other restaurants in the area where the ingredients and execution are much better for these prices.Good selection of wines in my opinion though.Dear Tommy_Peroni,Thank you for taking the time to review The Plough Inn.We appreciate your kind comments in regards to our wine list and portion sizes however we are disappointed to hear that you did not find the ingredients and execution to be a high quality. We would appreciate if you could get in touch on 01260280207 or [email protected] so we can look into this further and also so we can hopefully arrange to invite you back and deliver our usual high standards of food.

We called in here when passing on a Sunday lunch time. We hadn't booked, but we managed to get a table. We both ordered sandwiches and a portion of chips. The sandwiches were delicious, with plenty of filling, served with a large side salad. The staff were very friendly, a great little find.

The Castle Inn is one of our go to favorites for guaranteed great food and service. We were fortunate to eat out last Saturday for our anniversary on the day the food menu changed. Sea bass with gnocchi and chorizo was fab, and the shin of beef with dumplings and truffle pomme purée perfect for a cold night. Spoilt for choice on the desserts so need to go back to try them all. The banana and maple bread and butter pudding was delicious. Thanks for great service and hospitality to Andrea and the crew.
