After looking over their menu I was disappointed we had eaten dinner before getting here. The bartenders were very friendly and were dressed like old school gangsters. The beer prices were very reasonable and they had a few interesting beers I had not seen before. Their jalapeno ale is worth a try, not any heat but the back end has a jalapeno flavor to it. Can't wait until I can get back up there and try out their food. They had a live band playing that night "Keep the Change" and they kept the place hopping. They have 1 big screen and a few other TVs 3-4 I think. The only con, I was thinking this would be a good football Sunday place to hang out but they don't open until 2 so you couldn't catch the noon game and I don't know if they have the ability to have their TVs on different channels or not. Either way I'll be back again.

First Applebee's stopped offering a riblets/chicken tenders combo entree'. Then Applebee's stopped offering their riblets as an entree'. Now all that is left is an overcooked extra, extra crispy chicken tenders entree' that leaves a lot to be desired. The accompanying french fries are nothing special either. Sure there are other entrees' to order but a die hard riblets patron like me has always gone to Applebee's for their delicious riblets and now even the chicken tenders cannot satisfy. Also on this particular visit it took an extraordinary long time to get our checks. Applebee's used to be my favorite restaurant but now it is only a last resort or when circumstances force me to go.

D. Boozers' main dining / seating area is a large, open room with a bar in the middle. It has exposed brick walls and high ceilings (so expect a challenge with conversations, when it comes to acoustics). A large Budweiser mural greets guests at the front door. Also, there's a big chalkboard with daily specials (which comes in handy, trying to decide from their pretty extensive food & drink menu). We chose D. Boozers as a birthday venue, because of their reputation for good pizza and wings. Both were delicious! Although we dined on a Friday evening, the server kindly reminded us that on Sundays and Mondays: wings are half-price!A few other menu items we shared were the Rueben sandwich (not bad -- but the meat wasn't very flavorful, and it was missing Thousand Island dressing), Southwest Spring Rolls (very interesting, in a good way -- think burrito contents, inside an Asian egg roll wrapping). The waitstaff was friendly and helpful. We managed to squeeze five people into a booth; but were unable to accommodate any others in our group. Friends joined us at adjacent booths. There's additional seating outdoors (but beware of the smokers!).One **important** side note, for those who follow my reviews. The staff "cleans" the tables with sprayed Windex (??!) Why? ...we don't know. We were a group of folks with a toddler, and an infant. We had to warn them of the potential consequences, before any respiratory attacks occurred. A helpful recommendation to the owners/managers is: immediately switch to dishcloths soaked in sanitizer.Cleaning with non-sprayed soaps is much less gross than having chemicals sprayed on tables, near to food and people eating/drinking. Avoiding sprayed chemicals, altogether in your establishment, is much less dangerous -- especially for those of us with respiratory conditions.

I have to agree with the majority of the reviews of Sloan's Pub House as far as the food, drink, and atmosphere is concerned but I have an issue with their having run my credit card for more than what I signed for on the receipt. When I compared the charge on my credit card statement to my original receipt, I was charged an additional $10. When I inquired with Sloan's about this matter at least 3 or 4 times, asking to talk to the proprietor or manager, I was always told that they would return my call which never happened. I understand that mistakes can happen and maybe that's what happened in this case but it was important to me to know if their copy of the receipt indicated an honest mistake was made or if the receipt had been altered by an employee. So you can draw your own conclusions as to what might have happened based on their reluctance to reply. I'll go elsewhere. BTW, my credit card company credited me the $10 overcharge.
Went to hear the DJ and have dinner. The DJ wasn't much of one as he played pool all night while trying to play tunes. Pizza was no more than a cardboard, non-tasting frozen one. Was really disappointed. There were a lot of 20 year olds drinking and laughing, but I was really disappointed in the place and we would not go back.

If you want an impressive burger, try this fun place. I do honestly love the food here. I feel like, itâs kinda pricy for a burger place. I guess you have to consider the atmosphere and table service plus consistent food quality. These are steak burgers and quite large. The âcampfireâ sauce and French fries are the best! Oh and you gotta get an onion tower (perfect onion rings). So plan to spend $15-20 or more per person easily. Free refills on many specialty beverages too. Not usually a long wait but parking can get very congested. Thereâs a lot of hard surfaces that reflect sound so maybe not an intimate place for conversation with a date or couples. Still Iâve never had a bad meal or service here. Check it out when itâs not a peak time in Fairview Heights.

The potato soup is as good or better than Cheddar's. The French Onion is great, too.Great ribeye sandwitch and chicken wrap. I haven't had the pizza, but I hear it is great, too. The biggest improvement over the old Horseshoe is the newly constructed bathrooms. I don't know how the old establishment got by with the sad, filthy shape the old ones were in.

Appetizers are great. Steaks are very good. Service was fast and friendly. Place was clean. Like this particular Longhorn.

I should have kept driving and saved my money. I did not find the establishment worthy of the money spent. Either it is a local favorite, or the alcohol dulls the senses. Wings were over cooked and hard. Fish platter was a piece of frozen fish, which tasted as if it had been lost in the deep freeze, sweet potato fries were over cooked. Grilled cheese and fries for the kids was nothing special and at least edible. Hamburger was run of the mill with no seasoning. I need not go back, $42 for this meal was way to much! Yuck!!
