Half Hitch Brewing Company Canmore is a family owned and operated restaurant located in the historic Canmore Hotel. With two panoramic patios, weekend entertainment, smoked BBQ a rustic saloon decor, this is the place to be for large parties and events.
A kind young man in a nearby grocery suggested the place, RIGHT on the corner. So ... full rack of pork ribs and some onion rings with salad. The portion wasn't "generous," - it was MASSIVE. One order like this could tame at least two healthy appetites. Meaty, flavorful, and tender - glazed with a Saskatoon berry barbecue sauce. Rings were simply grand. Family-run microbrewery with beverages very much worth trying. Serving staff is VERY familiar with the product. I'll be back! Michelle gets a special nod for GREAT service!

Located in beautiful Canmore, AB, Hy Five opened its doors in January of 2018. We love to support small and local, so we serve $5 draft beer brewed in Canmore and Calgary, as well as a great selection of craft canned beers and fine wines for prices that c
Great addition to Canmore opening earlier this year and a massive improvement on the previous establishment that was at this location.Slightly off the beaten track an not overly touristy. Service is efficient and friendly. We have not eaten there yet, so cannot comment. $5 beers which is great.Thank you, we're pretty happy with the new look as well!

Located in down town Canmore, in walking distance to all shops, galleries, candy stores. The Drake is Canmoreâs premier live music venue and a favorite for dining, sports and enjoying happy hour taking in the views from the patios. Our Albertan pub menu i
There are a lot of great restaurant options and this pub style restaurant is a good option. There are a lot of TVs to watch sports as well as a patio with great views of the mountains. We ordered a steak and also a burger. The burger was really good with melted cheese and great flavor to the bacon. The side of fries were also good. The steak was a bit over cooked. There was not a lot of servers (appeared to be one for the patio and one for all of inside) at the time we were there (Saturday afternoon) so waiting for refills, to order or getting the bill at the end took a bit more time.

Where to eat Canadian food in Canmore: The Best Restaurants and Bars

This place ought to be my kind of place. Eclectic menu, nice mountain views from the deck and rear windows. Movable tables in the booths. Parking. Full bar. Beer on tap for the husband. And yet, not. The passage to the restrooms was pitch black and a sexual assault opportunity waiting to happen, the âfullâ bar was âout of bitters and we really donât know how to make most cocktails, people usually just order beerâ, and in the dark corner where we were seated near the restrooms with burned out light bulbs in the area, there was a candle on the table, but upon requesting it be lit I was told that the waitress didnât think they had any tea lights. I asked if they were going out of business, given the lack of bitters and tea lights, both inexpensive but terribly necessary items when running a restaurant with full bar. Yikes. We ordered food and were less than impressed with it. Not absolutely terrible, but not tasty either, merely adequate. What did I do about the lack of bitters, you ask? I asked for bourbon neat, ginger ale and a water back with a glass of ice to make my own cocktail. They had no idea what a water back is. The double bourbon served to me for $24 CAD was a lesser quantity than a single bourbon shot in America, but thatâs probably on me for not doing Canadian drinks research. The upshot is, at this place, order beer and a burger and sit outside viewing the three sisters mountains, and mind yourself on trips to the ladies room. Good use for that cell phone flashlight app if ever here was one.Dear Nancy, I apologize for the lack of response to this review. As an active employee, manager and owner of this establishment, I find this review extremely inappropriate. There are multiple restrooms available, which are all appropriately lit and completely safe. You have assumed that because of the way the room was lit, something as serious as sexual assault could occur. I urge you to reconsider this comment, as it is extremely insulting to those who have been victims to such crimes. Your rash comments regarding âsexual assault opportunity waiting to happenâ deeply insults us, and I ask you to please remove this review and post an alternative review that expresses your experience at the Rose, instead of the assumptions youâve created. As for the bartenders, they absolutely know how to make all classic cocktails, we were simply out of bitters! In regards to the waitress that confirmed you wanted a side of water, she was merely assuring she got your order correct as another waitress (who was new at the time) took your order. On a final note, we do not have a double bourbon that costs $24, therefore Iâm unsure as to what you are referring to.

Staying next door so I ventured over for dinner. I ordered a Caesar and the brisket sandwich and poutine to go. The bartender was super friendly and accommodating. My drink was good, spicy just as I like it. Got to my hotel room and noticed I didnât get a knife which seems important since the sandwich is open faced. But oh well I figured it out. The brisket was amazing and the mustard was perfect ........ overall good food and service. Thank you for your review, apologies that you didn't get a knife. The brisket is smoked in house and we make sure its perfect before we serve it to you. I am glad you enjoyed your meal with us. come see us again soon

Excellent pub serving great food. I was wary based on previous reviews but I found the fish and chips fabulous and Iâd recommend to anyone. The sausage and garlic mash (inside a Yorkshire pudding) also went down a treat. Others had Scotch Eggs, Shepardâs Pie, Poutine, Thai Vegetable Curry all were very goodBut the creme de la creme has to be the French Onion Soup. Probably the best Iâve ever had. Highly recommended, especially for the soup.

Sunday evening in September and itâs raining hard. We see the bright lights and are welcomed by the attentive staff. A small wait (but that seems normal in good eateries) and we enjoy good beers, wine and excellent Tacos. We honestly were not expecting such a good âpubâ atmosphere in Canada but here itis. You chat, watch sport on tv or just enjoy the food. But watch out, as it was still raining when we stumbled out!
