My husband & I were out for a nice Sunday drive and we stopped at a couple of bars to check them out and decided to eat at Norm's. The place had 12 people including us and a band outside that no one was listening to. It was cool and windy. We had 1 cold beer & asked for a menu which she gave us. We were setting at the bar with a few others who were getting plowed and they informed us of this also because they were loud. Our menu sat there opened and ready to order till our beers were gone. Then all of a sudden the bar tender took the menu...end of story. No offer of another beer or food. The 2 bar tenders seemed more interested in 'cutting up' and having their own fun. We left and won't be back. If it were busy I could sorta see this happening but it wasn't. Too many good bar & grills who want your business to waste our time going back to Norm's. I gave it a poor rating because maybe the food is good, we'll never know.

My husband and I were desperate for lunch, but as tourists in the Fort Atkinson area, we were struggling to find something. We then stumbled across this true gem!!! We had beef stew, ham and bean soup, the beer battered chicken fingers, and the beer battered fish sandwich. All the food was phenomenal, super unpretentious but perfectly executed. All of it tasted homemade, and was fresh. On top of the food being great, our waitress was absolutely amazing and the atmosphere was lively, but not too loud and didnât feel too bar-y in the afternoon. (My husband and I donât drink and can sometimes feel slightly weird in a bar if it doesnât have a dual sort of an atmosphere). We are from the Chicago area where good food definitely isnât in short supply and we would be weekly regulars here if we lived any where near it!! It is a must visit if you are in town!
Relax and enjoy Badger or Packer football, Brewer baseball, or breakfast at Wimbledon in a Wisconsin tavern. Great bar food including burgers and pizza as well as Friday fish fry with perch, walleye or blue gill. Great atmosphere with great value.

I'm so happy to have discovered this bar and café just off the Interstate in charming Lake Mills. The long stretch between Madison and Milwaukee is a food desert but this oasis is literally just minutes from the highway. I met friends here for lunch and everyone gave the food an enthusiastic thumbs-up. My grilled chicken sandwich with tomato and olive tapenade was really outstanding -- the bread was delicious and fries made to perfection. Service is friendly and the space is charming, welcoming and modern. Parking is easy on the town common. I make this drive across the state often and will definitely make this a regular stop along the way. Oh, and don't pass up the short half-block walk to Ephraim Pottery, a destination in its own right.

Went for a fish fry. Nice location and view. Coleslaw was very good. Boyfriend said potato pancakes were very good. Fish was black around edges and very greasy. Fries were greasy and crunchy even on the inside. They remade the fries with only minimal improvement -- still hard. Never offered to remake fish or bring me something else. Boyfriend ate most of his fish only because he was very hungry. Left my plate pretty much untouched. Ended up having to get something elsewhere. Even the soda tasted watered down and flat.

This place is off the beaten path but so worth it. The people who own it are quite hospitable and are willing to socialize unlike some places in the big city. Highly recommend the bloody mary. You will get not just a good sized glass (24oz?) but you will have a "salad" that has it all. At last count, it was 16 different veggies and fixings. The food is good too. Recommend any of the burgers. They are done to order but, again, you will get a little bit of the small town wit with it as well. As I say, " It is the experience as well as the food that makes a place special."
I had the baked cod on a Friday night - it was EXCELLENT! Very impressed! Great portions and sides were wonderful too - green beans that night!

We stopped in on a Saturday around 1:00. It was busy, but there were empty tables...3 of us...eager to eat and then shop some more! Three drinks were ordered...one Bloody came without veggies (boo!). How is that possible after the other Bloody was filled with veggies? We enjoyed the regrouping period, but then it was becoming a bit ridiculous. When we saw later arrivals being served, we piped up. Somehow our order was lost/placed out of order, ??? About 45 minutes after arriving, our food came; we had lost valuable shopping time! The food was delicious--salad, BLT, chicken tenders with fries. As compensation for our LONG wait, we rec'd a 25% discount on our orders. Nice. How did they know we shop for deals?!

Dependably good food and service, at more than fair prices. Taco Tuesday and Friday Fish Fry attracts a good sized crowd, so get there early.Typical Bar/Restaurant, with Super Friendly staff. Great burgers and pizza as well. Never had a bad meal or poor service here! We stop by every few weeks.

Kind of a hole-in-the-wall kind of a place which is just off of US 12. The food was decent bar food, lots of deep fried items on the menu. Server was great. Lots of beer choices, but when I asked about wine, she said "We have red and white." We got Chardonnay which she told us ". . .was out of a box." The initial taste was okay, the mouth feel was ok but there was absolutely no finish whatsoever. This is rural Wisconsin -- we should have ordered a Linie.
