...here you are.Never tried a pizza light and easy like this one, and i've never saw anywhere so many differente kind of bottled beers with employers able to explain them. The tap selection change every week, almost, and tha place is warm enough to come back as much as i can.Cheap, good and kind.

Ci veniamo spesso e ci siamo sempre trovati bene. Buono il galletto e i vari panini. Ci piace anche assaggiare le diverse specialità che propongono ogni giorno.

A year ago if you travelled along the Bergamo to Como main Rd you would have come across Le Palme at Olgiate Molgora and found a normal pasticceria/bar which by the way is also only a 3 minute walk from the Railway Station. But today following the change of proprietor, "Oscar" has remodeled, renovated and rejuvenated Le Palme into a contemporary "go-to" venue in the heart of Brianza. There is no longer the need to venture into Milano if you are looking for a contemporary, and I am reluctant to say "fashionable" bar-restaurant because I think it will still survive the test of time in the years ahead despite the fashionable adjective at present. It is frequented by both the the middle aged business demographic (of I which I confess to be one) but also the younger set of students and young professionals, especially in the evenings. Externally it does not readily disclose the contemporary decor found inside, that along with an extensive external gazeebo area provides ample space for the incalcitrant smokers and those that prefer to watch the passers by. Le Palme has a young, eager, energetic staff who are willing to please and even though they may not be perfectly fluent in English they do their best and that is half the charm of the place.I would say they have an emphasis on a big B for "bar" & little c for "cucina" but that said they really pay attention to the quality of the dishes they serve that accompany the broad selection of wines and cocktails available. The bar staff have knowledgable somellier who can help you to select the right wine to suit your mood and accompany your choice if food. The lunches are ideal for business breaks, not heavy meals but always great quality and with an attention to detail from typical Italian dishes to non "gourmet" burgers, which I can thoroughly recommend. A hearty good quality burger and proper chunky chips (" french fires if your american"), not the thin, over salted variety found in typical burger chains so if your going to be naughty make sure its good quality. Again the deserts are of a far higher quality than you would expect from a "bar" and I must congratulate the pastry chef and say that it is of a similar standard to some "up market" restaurants I have dined at. For those with a sweet tooth I would recommend the "tiramisu" or the (I think) under marketed "Chocolate torte" with runny chocolate centre and vanilla ice cream are worth a try.But that is not all, a real pleasure is also during the evening "apperitivo" period which is the Milanese tradition for a drink after work, usually with some free accompanying finger food on the bar to go with it, a kind of equivalent to Spanish "tapas" if you will. Here you can order a cocktail or a glass of wine and some wonderful dishes will arrive to accompany them; tagliolini with sweet ricotta, speck, omlette, pasta with olives, various tasty cheeses etc etcSo well done Oscar and company, it's a pleasure to find Le Palme in what could be described as an oasis in Brianza for a contemporary venue prooviding quality and a certain "ambience".
