Having just returned from Europe we were craving another Schnitzel or two and with a deal on first table this place seemed like a great opportunity to try something new in the area. We ordered the langosh to start which went down very well- crispy on the outside, soft on the inside. I ordered the jägerschnitzel and substituted the potatoes for spaetzli which they accommodated free of charge which was nice. My girlfriend ordered the Hawaiian Schnitzel. The Jäger was great- nice and creamy mushroom sauce and great flavour as always working really well with the spaetzli- would highly recommend! The Schnitzel was ok, just a bit dry and the chips under seasoned but nothing too bad at all. Service was a tad slow considering how empty it was but nothing too bad, staff were friendly and were evidently European which was a nice touch. Overall a really good experience and will likely be returning in the near future.

Flame Lounge & Dining will be closing on Saturday 29 June 2019. The beloved local restaurant re-opening in late 2020 bigger and better than ever.
Dee Why RSL has several restaurants, but Flame is the highest quality among them. It is elegant, has a tastefully designed interior, and several waiters and waitresses are slaloming in between the tables silently. The reason, why we have to go regularly is because Flame is famous for its steak. On our last visit, my order was a Grandmaâs crumbed lambâs brain with mushy peas, mint, prosciutto crisp, horseradish mayo, since Iâm not too keen on red meat. From this long name, I only liked the mushy peas. Usually, Iâm ordering calf brain, since about my opinion it has much better taste, but here it wasnât a choice. My partner had his steak and was satisfied with it.The restaurant a bit pricy, only the booze are exceptions since they sold on club prices. The service is attentive and spotless. It is recommended for steak lovers.

We live nearby and have been meaning to eat here. You have to order at the bar, and there is a good selection, including steaks, fish, chicken dishes, plates to share and pizzas. There is a kids menu too.I ordered the chicken Parma and hubby the fish and chips, and a child's nuggets and chips. All meals were decent serves and delicious though nothing special. We also ordered chicken and haloumi salad and this was particularly yummy... it was a big serve and very Morrish - we wished was had more of it. The parking is limited and ticketed - you have to validate the parking at the bar, and even after we did that the boom still didn't open - with no way to contact the restaurant we had to reverse and go in to sort it out, which was abit annoying. Overall it was a pleasant visit.

even though the Bar was very busy, we didn't wait too long for our food. The steak was delicious, soft and tender, mashed potato and beans a good side dish for the steak.

Freshwater's first small bar/eatery. The food is hot, the beer is cold and the chat is oddly comforting. No bookings - except for large groups or weekend lunches.
Recently moved to Freshie and have been pretty regular visitors to this place. This was an early Saturday night and at just 6:30 the place was buzzing.Good choice is a bit limited but what they do is done well.Recommend the fish tacos and my other half voted the Elvia burger the 2nd best heâd ever had .... well it would take a lot to beat a Five Guys burger !

Came here for dinner at about 8:30pm on a Thursday night. Went upstairs for dinner, joining about 2 other tables. The bistro menu states itâs open âtill late.â Went up to order our meals and was greeted by two very rude waitresses who were too busy talking to take our order. After weâd completed the order she snapped that she needed to see ID (to order food?). Went to get cutlery etc for our meals and it was all packed away. Had to ask one of the waitstaff who couldnât find any cutlery either. One meal came out 20 minutes before the rest, the other two meals came out luke warm. Food was average, but prices remained high. Wouldnât recommend, shanât be coming back.

Affectionately known as âthe pubâ by locals, Dee Why Hotel offers something for everyone. Proudly family-run since 1977, and recently renovated in 2010, we are famous for dishing up the âbeaches best burgersâ, and home to the largest craft beer collection
Heard this was a great place so went with a few work colleagues. Was not blown away. It was even a bit quieter and thought this was great as there would not be much wait time........It took an hour for 2/3 meals to arrive with 1 meal arriving within 15minutes.The kitchen seemed to be buzzing with people not doing anything, and the waitresses kept dropping more food than it arriving to the table. I picked up a knife off the floor for her and she scolded to leave it there.....huh?? Yes- just leave it there whilst you walk away so someone slips on it and sues you!!!!!The veggie burger was average- quite dry and small for the price of it.My friends had the Caesar wrap and burger with chips. Chips were in old oil- just not appetising. On a positive note the mojitos were excellent. The beer was flowing and good variety. We are very sorry to hear of your experience Kristie as we pride ourselves on fast and efficient service. We take all feedback extremely seriously and would like to investigate further. Can you please email us at [email protected] so that we can learn more.
