It had been probably 15 years since I've been here, but my wife opted to make NYE reservations and it did NOT disappoint. I love the atmosphere of this location as it's basically a house reconfigured to be a restaurant. There was a limited menu for the holiday but it still had many viable options. My wife had crab bisque and crab cake appetizer (which was more than enough portion for dinner) and I had the crab cakes and mini filets. The crabcakes were excellent (my wife loved the dill dip that accompanied hers) and the steak was cooked to perfection.

Stopped in for lunch and a couple of beers while passing through the Pittsburgh area. Overall, really just okay. One of the beers that I selected (Keep Summer Safe) was pretty good but another (Sedition DDH) that I also tried bordered on undrinkable. The food was okay and somewhat overpriced for what it was. Paid $16 for a pretty mediocre pizza and $15 for a sandwich and some potato chips. Service was great... the person who took care of us was prompt and friendly.

Letâs face it, there was never anything special about this place. Guys liked it because you could go there and see a lot of very attractive female bartenders behind the bar. Well that has changed drastically. My last couple of times there the female bartenders were dressed in sweat pants and had jackets on. There was actually a guy behind the bar at one point. Not one attractive female bartender in the bunch. I know the place is under new management who I can only assume doesnât understand why guys patronized the place. We wonât be back. I can pay for overpriced beer anywhere and see average or below average female bartenders. Will definitely be trying somewhere else as this place has exhausted my patience. I recommend you take your business elsewhere also.
Love the Black Horse! They always have seasonal beers on tap and the atmosphere is so friendly. Their menu is great. In the fall and winter, Justin has homemade soup. Sandwiches are large and filling - and the price is right. Really enjoy the evening entertainment, too.
We were visiting my folks one year for the Holidays and stressed as usual. Stopped in here for a couple of " happy-pops". The Bartender served us pronto, and was very friendly; he chatted with us, but was not getting too nosey. We played some Keno, (I think) then headed back to our Motel room at The Knights Inn. Sometimes Family is not a word, it's a sentence. The Wheel helped us take the "edge" off.

Our group reserved the back party room for an event. The room it's self and the accommodations were very nice but the service was terrible. The wings were overcooked, rather dry and could have used more sauce. It sometimes took 20-25 minutes to get a round of drinks for everyone and when they finally showed up, several were missing. This happened every time we ordered. The waitress didn't wait on us for the entire last hour we were there, and other people had to bring our orders. A few people in our party actually went out looking for the server. Ridiculous. We will definitely not be returning.

I stopped here for dinner while on a business trip. Food was ok but not great. The salad was pretty good. Not bad but but nothing special.

We went there for trivia night. We were a little timid about going in but once inside it is bright and cheerful. Good drunk specials. We did not eat so i can't comment on the food. The staff was friendly and we will be sure and try the food next time. Stop in this neighborhood bar next time you're in town

Food was great. We had salads, pizza, pasta dishes, apps, a little of everything. All were fantastic!! Beer and wine choices were plentiful. A lot of local beers.Service was great. We were parties of 4 to 15, not all arriving together, a large food loving Italian family group. Server never missed a beat. She was great. They even made a half baked pizza and froze it for an uncle to take back to Virginia. Hope our next visit is under better circumstances. In town for a funeral and we were all staying nearby. This was our goto in the evenings for a little relaxing. They made us feel welcome and comfortable.

Hi,Great local burger joint that also have PHENOMENAL boneless wings. The burger with the melted cheese covering it is a dream. And the wings are good there, or as a carry-out. I've used the wings at many house parties over the years. The one item that is such a let-down is the fries. There's nothing better than a great burger (and this place has that) with crispy hot fries. Their fries are NEVER crispy, and feel & taste grease-laden.
