Mac Gallant and Mike McNamara have teamed up to launch the "New" Jailhouse Tavern. The new Lunch/Dinner menu is a nice combination of some of the old favorites which have been significantly enhanced in terms of quality, preparation and taste. In addition,
Good chowder, good chicken soup, good drinks. However, when one orders a dish called âheirloom tomato flatbreadâ, one expects some tomatoes. Honestly, 2.5 yellow grape tomatoes on a whole flatbread app? My goodness! Plus, burned black and yet, served to my husband and to me. In fairness they gladly took it off of the bill but for $14, throw me some tomatoes! (Am I going to be the âtomato ladyâ on TripAdvisor from now on?)

Expecting to be impressed given the reviews we read, we were still blown away by this establishment. We went on a Friday at 6pm, expecting a wait. Our family of four was seated almost immediately. Food was fresh and delicious. Service was friendly and efficient. All of our meals were incredible. The best was the seafood casserole...it was the stuff dreams are made of! Shrimp scampi and fried seafood platter were also incredible. Local oysters were a treat as well! Kids received free ice cream tokens, which they gladly redeemed. Overall, a wonderful experience!!

Lost Dog used to be a decent enough place to bring the family, with a variety of options at a reasonable price point. But our last two visits in as many years have gotten more and more disappointing, with uneven service and declining food quality. Go if you can't find a table elsewhere and the people in your party like bland, standard fare, but otherwise give it a pass.

The Yardarm Restaurant is a small place with a big imprint. In the last decades we've prided ourselves on being the go-to meeting spot for locals in Orleans. On any given day, you'll find townsfolk like fisherman, physicians and plumbers all sharing stori
Love this place for lunch so went for dinner Thursday night Prime Rib. Two couples, our waitress came and seemed angry. I asked about a beer they had on draft and she said, "I have NO idea!, I don't drink beer!!!" OK. My friend asked about getting the prime rib rare, and she said, " We have 3 cooking", and never answered his question. Our dinners a came and the prime rib was so tough I couldn't eat mine, and the taste was terrible. Our waitress had a bad attitude, just mean. Won't ever go back at night for dinner there.Thank you for your review. I am so sorry that your group had this experience. It is not acceptable to us and has and will continue to be addressed with all our staff. Normally, I would suggest that you let your Server know if your meal is not to your liking so that we may correct it; however, it is obvious that this was not possible this particular night. I am sorry that I was not there at the time. Our primary goal is to have happy/satisfied customers so I hope that you will give us another chance by coming back in for either lunch or dinner. I hope to meet you personally.

Been passing this place for ten years and finally decided to try it. We were not impressed. The menu had a little of everything on it, and we tried a variety of different things. None of them were very good. The interior is dark and dated, and service was very average. There are too many good places around to go here, sorry.Sorry you were not impressed. We always wish for our customers to have a great experience, and most of them do. If you would like to contact me further about what meals you had, I would be happy to discuss any issues that came up. [email protected] Have a good summer!
