Located just off Obchodna Street is Starosloviensky Pivovar which in my humble opinion serves some of the very best beers in this wonderful little city. Starosloviensky Pivovar looks superb, the interior is awesome, it's got a cosy rustic look to it with whitewashed walls, old brewing equipment adorning the walls, a cool looking serving bar and plenty of seating options spread throughout this tavern,it's a proper authentic tavern and one I always look forward to visiting. My twin brother Stephen and I were here on a Friday night, this place was busy with a great atmosphere, greeted warmly by a very pleasant member of staff who served us a Pressburg beer each, these were served in excellent condition being iced cold and sparkling, we luckily managed to get a table were we just kicked back and chilled out and took in the great tavern we were in. My beer was outstandingly tasty, as much as I enjoy the local brews such as zlaty bazant or urpiner beer it's so nice enjoying a more crafted beer and this beer was good, light, hoppy and well balanced and very easy to drink, while enjoying this beer we already had our next beer picked out and my brother went for nymburk 10° while I opted to have třebič IPA and again we were served two absolutely fantastic brews, my IPA was amazing, packed with taste, a really pleasant beer to drink,my twin brother also gave the thumbs up to his beer. On this visit I cannot really comment on the meals as we only here for beers but I have ate here on numerous occasions over the years and the meals are just superb, proper Slovak cuisine, tasty and filling. We really enjoyed our beers in here, between my twin brother Stephen and I we sampled three great beers styles before we moved on and as on every other visit to here we had a great time. Starosloviensky Pivovar is easy to locate on Vysoka. Opening hours are;Monday to Thursday, 2pm till Midnight. Friday & Saturday, 2pm till 3am. Sunday, 2pm till Midnight. A great tavern, one I highly recommend you visit if your in the area.

Modern beer pub with fresh beer, delicious food and perfect atmosphere.
On our latest holiday to Bratislava we were eagerly looking forward to visiting the wonderful Old Town and Venturska Klubovna is a pub we always make a point of visiting. There are a chain of Klubovna pubs spread throughout this city and this Old Town venue is one of the best,a great interior in this multi roomed pub, tv's to enjoy the sport and there's great decor and furnishings including a cool looking serving bar, brew vats prominently on display and all decked up for the Christmas period, there's also plenty of seating options spread throughout this pub both inside and when the weather is good outside looking out onto the beautiful Old Town street's. We were here on a freezing cold rainy Thursday night, this pub was packed with a great atmosphere, we luckily managed to get seats at the bar were we were greeted warmly by a very pleasant member of staff who served us a light beer each ,we just chilled out, warmed up and took in the great pub we were in. The beer brewed here is spot on, a light and hoppy beer bursting with taste, very easy to drink and a beer style I really enjoy. On this visit I cannot really comment on the meals as we were only here for beers but I have ate here on previous holidays to Bratislava and the meals are just superb, hearty local cuisine, tasty and filling. We really enjoyed our beers in here and the great atmosphere so much so that we ended up staying for another beer each before we moved on and as on all our previous visits to here we had a great time. Venturska Klubovna is easy to locate on a street called Venturska in the magnificent Old Town which is also an area teeming with pubs, bars and restaurants and some amazing architecture and a major tourist destination. We came in because it was the only place open on a Monday night. Bad choice. The sole server looked as if she wanted to be somewhere else. Anywhere else. There were only 2 or 3 tables with diners, but food took excruciatingly long to arrive. The String Cheese was a good choice, the Homemade Foie Gras not so much. The Cabbage Soup with Sausage was thin and not hot. The Pork Schnitzel was decent. Salad with Chicken so-so.The Potato Dumplings were acceptable.

We say we have inspirative couisine. We dont have any carte, we let the food isnpire us day by day. We need only good fish, meat, herbs and lot of fresh plants. In our garden grill we cook mainly local fish like trout, carp, catfish most of them from loca
Pod Kamennym Stomom is a pub I always look forward to visiting on any holiday i take to Bratislava. This is one superb pub,it's a cellar pub with a great look to it with exposed stonework, a cool little serving bar and great decor and furnishings, there's also plenty of seating options spread throughout this pub ,beer runs to beer from the Czech republic, mostly Bernard beer which is fine with me as I really enjoy their beer range,it's a pub that allows smoking inside which again is not a problem for me,although a non smoker I don't mind a smokey atmospheric pub but I know a lot of people will have a problem with people smoking in a pub they are visiting. We were here late on a freezing cold Thursday night, greeted warmly by a very pleasant member of staff who served us a Bernard beer each, these were served in excellent condition being iced cold and sparkling, we just chilled out, warmed up and took in the great pub we were in.Bernard beer is a really tasty beer,it's a light, hoppy, well balanced beer, very refreshing and very easy to drink indeed, it's a beer style I really enjoy. We really enjoyed our beers in here and the great atmosphere so much so that we ended up staying for another beer each before we moved on and as on every other visit to here we had a great time. Pod Kamennym Stromom is easy to locate on Sedlarska in the wonderful Old Town which is also an area teeming with pubs, bars and restaurants and some amazing architecture and a major tourist destination. Opening hours are;Monday to Friday, Open from Midday. Saturday & Sunday, Open from 1pm.A great pub ,well worth seeking out.

Poor service. Poor attitudes of the staff. You are better off getting a burger at mcdonalds and beer at a Billa or Lidl. Please shut down this place. You just dont have what it takes to be great.Hi, I am sad what I read, I feel disgust from you. My disadvantage is I do not understand why? What happened? We have great beer and brugers. All home-made from fresh staples. Maybe you can write more? Thank you, Natalia Zavodska, manager

the food out of their daily menu was great and with huge variety, it tasted welll, unfortunatelly my body cannot process oily food due to health conditions therefore had to immedietaly visit restroom... well sorry for ruining your meal anyway the taste is vreat the waiters and waitresses are pretty fast and food is up to par reflecting the price you pay for it. I can only recommend this place. A bit if a downside for me was that the entire place smelled like it was a cigarette chimney but when we sat outside on the terasse it did not cause any trouble I also recommend checking the interior of the restaurant as it is pretty nice and eyecatching would give 5/5 but the smell of tobacco had me wanna put 4/5 but the value for what you recieve is great. Very recommended if you are in the area.

This place was recommended to us on a tour. Even on a very hot day we got the traditional garlic soup in a bread bowl and it was incredible. Sausage was good, but fatty. Service was great. If you want to try the best soup, go here!

We are Žil Verne - craft beer pub. We have perfect craft beer, mostly from local smal breweries. We have also some small, slovak special cheese and some other small things to eat. Hope to see you soon :)
Our favourite place to have a beer, sitting on the street in the historical centre of Bratislava. Unpretentious, youngish, nice.

Bratislava Burgess Brewery in Drevena Street follows an old tradition of the famous Burgess Brewery, “Die Bürgerliche Brauerei“, called the Burgher by residents. Nice beer was brewed there and the adjacent brewery restaurant was well-known for its domesti
I arrived for a meal. Every single staff ignored me. They didn't ignore about 20 other people that were not tourists, which they pointed to tables. After 5 minutes someone finally talked to me saying I could sit anywhere but they were full, after allowing all the other people ahead of me. Most insulting welcoming ever. Clearly they don't like tourists.DON'T GO THERE.

This place needs a name change. It should be called The Burger Pub! To be fair it's not really a pub either, more a bar/bistro. Anyway, I have never had such yummyness (and calories!) in my life! A quirky, buzzing place with friendly and very efficient service. Affordable too! What else could you want!? If you like beer too, there seemed to be a lot of that going on too.
