This pub has been a firm favourite for us with its family friendly atmosphere and good quality cheap food - better than any Frankie and Bennies for the price. We can go and relax and not break the bank. Itâs had some staff changes and this had impacted service and quality. After raising this with the team, when we returned it was great to see that management were out leading and there was a fabulous and friendly team across the service. The food was the best we have had and Iâm hopeful that this will continue! Thank you

Arriving unannounced with a party of 12 people we had expected to be turned away but the extremely polite and friendly landlord accomodated us perfectly despite being short of staff on this occasion - he could not have been more welcoming. Food arrived remarkably quickly considering the circumstances and was cooked to perfection. It is a real shame that all pubs can't be as hospitable as this, we will definitely return when in the area again. Thank you very much.

Rotisserie Pub restaurant. We challenge you to resist our Rotisserie Chickens, they are Red Tractor farm assured, freshly prepared and seasoned in-house and then slow cooked to perfection in our Rotisserie oven!
We booked a table for 4 people on saturday evening and arrived in plenty of time for our booking, we were sat down immediately and given drinks promptly but were told when ordering food it would be about 30/40 minute wait, so we waited and after 1 hour and 15 minutes our food arrived, all 4 meals were ok, no problems with the food, but when you make a booking for a dedicated time you expect to eat near that time. the server could not help with any of the queries we made regarding the menu, Not her fault as this is a new restaurant, we will try it again in a few months time to see if there is any improvement, but if the service remains the same it will be the last visit. Thanks for the review and we will endeavour to make sure that next time you visit you give us a 5. We have put in place some things after the Saturday you came as to eradicate the wait times you experienced. We hope to see you again soon, and the chefs are pleased that the food you received was good!

Family run pub restaurant tucked just behind the town hall. The menu has a variety of home made, locally sourced options ranging from light lunches through to main meals and sharing platters. There is always a minimum of 3 quality house ales available and
Went there for Sunday dinner with my Dad and sister, Dad had the gammon steak, sister had the roasted chicken I had the roast beef. Portions were very generous lots of fresh veg plus cauliflower/broccoli cheese bake that I want the recipe for. We thoroughly enjoyed our main course however the desert left a lot to be desired which is the only reason I gave 4 instead of 5 stars.

This is a hidden gem, we stayed here on our way down to Portsmouth for the night. Phil the owner is really friendly and helped us when we arrived. We are at the restaurant and enjoyed some of the real ales at the bar. They also had electric hookup for our motorhome for £5. Absolute bargain and would highly recommend this place.

Visited the Greyhound Inn with a couple of friends for dinner out and was not disappointed, the choice on the menu was varied and reasonably priced. We all went for different salads and all were excellent. I had the goats cheese salad and it was delicious, good size portion, great quality ingredients and tasted fab. Service was good and staff were polite, helpful and friendly, will definitely be eating here again very soon.

Lovely, well run bistro with an interesting menu and excellent service. I had a cheese and tomato quiche with chips and coleslaw, the only problem I had was choosing which option to go for! Range of produce and wines to purchase and take home too, this place is well worth the trouble to seek out.
