Visited this gem this weekend for the 1st time. Our waitress was right on when she suggested the Sheffield dry rub wings. Lots of flavor and pretty good sized. All four meals we ordered were great. Portabella sandwich, grilled cheese sandwich, sausage hoagie and build your own burger....hand cut fries are a must! Just a fun spot with yummy food and well stocked bar. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed!

Stopped in for lunch and so glad we did. The Gouda Mac & Cheese with Chicken Fingers were delicious. Also ordered the Smokehouse Chicken sandwich; layers of flavor, stacked with Gouda cheese, bacon, BBQ sauce, onion strings, lettuce and tomato on a hard roll and served with large side of crispy fries. MM MM good! This casual and rustic restaurant checked all the boxes for us. We enjoyed good food, great prices, nice portions, and excellent service by Anna, our waitress. We had a coupon for a free entree so our bill was only $16.31! By the way they have a large back room and huge booths so bring the family and enjoy a great meal.

Stopped by for dinner as we were passing through town on a Thursday night. The place was mostly full with regular patrons. Both atmosphere and service was good. There is a very large menu. Cheddar beer soup was pretty good, but not as good as I expected based upon our server's suggestions. We would stop by again.

Pubs have always been places to gather and chat. South Buffalo is our home and we want to convey its warmth and character in this neighborhood pub. From The Early Times Tavern to The Blackthorn, we have grown with our friends. We invite new friends to joi
We went with another couple Saturday night. We ordered the stuffed banana peppers for an appetizer and they were very good. Three of us ordered the grilled chicken sandwich and had the tatertots with it. Those tots are delicious! The fourth person ordered the shepherds pie and I didn't hear any complaints from him. It looked good. We stopped at the bar and had a couple of beers. The people hanging out at the bar were friendly.

The food is delicious. However, it came out cold. According to the waiter, we were the only order is, so our meals would be out quickly. Potato bacon soup was excellent and hot. One of our party had the corned beef and cabbage, he raved about it. One had the roast beef on weck, that was good. One had the Shepherds Pie and had to add a lot of salt and pepper. I ordered the pot roast which was very tasty, however, cold. Even the mashed potatoes.

My favorite food is "Beef on Weck" This is a specialty in the Buffalo area. Nevertheless after 59 years of trying and tasting them all I have made a decision. Ernie Webers Beef and Ale House is simply the best roast beef I have ever had. A choice of different sizes along with different sides make it even better. But the most important thing is that the sandwich is HUGE and the beef the most tender I have ever had. Please if ever in the Buffalo,NY area stop there. There are alot of beef places but this is the only one thats over the top.Gary Postolese Buffalo NY 14223

Upscale casual gastro pub. Chef and family ran and owned, including a house made menu with daily specials. Large selections of beers, craft beers, local wines and craft cocktails.
Wifields's Pub is a gem that will soon catch on. If you blink, you may even pass it on your way down Ridge Rd. It's a quaint remodeled old tavern from the 50's I'm guessing, but clean and inviting. The bar has it'scomplimentary bowl of home made potato chips for you to enjoy with a cold one and chat or watch some tv. The staff is very friendly, and professional. It's menue is somewhat limited but has some very good items that will warm your heart. A british style fish-n-chips, home made chicken pot pie are two that Ive had.My favorite is the fried chicken breast sandwich. A rare fare that is tasy and filling! I'm sure certain itemswill be swapped in and out on the apps menue as they move forward, due to popularity and demand. The "grilled cheese" or pork belly's are a good choice, but would like to see a more energetic apps choice. It feels like home and I think the best is yet to come.Parking in the back lot is challenging due to close quarters, and the street is a main route, but you will find a spot. Enjoy a nice craft beer from a limited craft offering, and indulge in their awesome desserts too!Give it shot, let me know how you see it.

This is a chain restaurant with a menu with lots of options. My daughter, step daughter, husband, and myself came here for dinner on 7/8/16 after a day of golf. Our daughter was visiting from China where she now lives and had wanted to experience foods that are not so easy to get in China. Chicken in China does not taste like the chicken in the US. We didn't have to wait long for a spacious booth. We ordered whiskey chicken, crispy brewhouse chicken, grilled chicken breast, and chicken wonton tacos. Our server was Nicole R who was pleasant and efficient. Everyone enjoyed their dinner choices. I especially loved the whiskey chicken which came with onion/mushroom gravy and mashed potatoes. Normally I order the fiesta lime chicken which never lets me down. The crispy brewhouse chicken came with stout gravy and garlic mashed potatoes topped with crispy onion rings. My husband chose sides of garlic green beans and garlic mashed potatoes with his grilled chicken breast. The chicken wonton tacos were fine with the addition of slaw with the chicken. However the other choices were far superior in our opinion. The chicken was perfectly cooked-tender and moist, not dry. The gravy was yummy. The green beans were cooked al dente as my husband likes them to be. All in all a very pleasant dinner. My daughter was happy!

Typical dive bar atmosphere, great service, great food. Hot roast beef sandwich was excellent. Beef (plentiful) on weck was delicious however, it is served with gravy. Not that it was bad but not the norm. French fries were crispy and well seasoned. Waitress was wonderful, friendly and efficient. Will return!

Seated right away (that should have tipped us off right away), waitress was friendly, she brought us our drinks right away (they do not serve Pepsi or Cola--only "RC" which tastes flat if you are use to drinking Pepsi or Cola). She brought us a dinner role with butter. I ordered a rack of bbq ribs, baked beans and fries. The ribs had a nice bbq sauce on them, but the ribs were cold, extremely fatty with not much meat on the bone. The fries were cold. The baked beans were delicious. Overall, not a good experience. Don't think I'll go back.
