Just visited Upstreet recently with a large group and although the place is very noisy on a Saturday night I have to say this is the best place for BBQ in the city. We started off with nachos and loved the flavour with BBQ sauce on them. My partner and I shared a half BBQ chicken and mac and cheese and had plenty left over to take home. I couldn't believe how moist and flavourful the chicken was. Hi, and thank you so very much for visiting and taking the time to leave such a wonderful review about your experience. It's truly appreciated, as is your business. ~Mike

Stopped in for quick lunch after kids hockey. Hamburger week at Bubbas. Order hamburgers but ....... out of buns ! Manager has gone for buns and not serving hamburgers now. Ok lets have wings, a salad and a fish and chip. 45 minutes later we ask and they finally show up. Before that we see them serve hamburgers to people who showed up after us!!Good wings , good salad, ok fish . Tried to by a local beer here but it is a Molson's bar, even their Bubba Beer is just Molson ex.Not a great visit.

Almost every Saturday we go here for "fish" Saturday. While the haddock filet size has gotten smaller in the last year, it us still delicious. We love the crisp fresh hot carrots and broccoli as a side. The mashed and ok (you can taste instant mixed in), but they are still satisfying. The staff are all great and are welcoming to children.

Patrons Bar & Grill provides a unique venue for dinner, parties or just meeting friends and colleagues. A fresh approach to day and nighttime entertainment and the game of golf itself.
What a great time we had last night at this friendly little restaurant/bar! The live music adds so much too! We were there for dinner and awesome country tunes of Andrew Frelick, but I could see there were some fun private parties in adjacent rooms (must try the karaoke room next time), and a very impressive golf simulation setup had many âgolfersâ partaking. I am all about the atmosphere when I go out and this place has it in spades! Great decor, especially the black and white art of Halifax wall (reminiscent of an adult colouring book). Thereâs a very inviting bar too which would be my go-to if I were there solo. The service was so attentive and friendly. I usually have nachos on my Friday night out and these were definitely among the better ones Iâve had - hot and cheesy! Now I canât wait to go back to Patronâs for Taco Tuesday and Trivia Thursday! Bedfordâs best kept secret is everything Iâm looking for in a neighbourhood pub/bar!

Oh boy how much we enjoyed this place ! first time we sat here. Heard about their amazing river-view balcony which indeed was perfect ! right ON the riverbed !Then we heard that on Wednesdays and Thursdays the had their famous wings for a third of the price (!!!), we were there on a Wednesday so we went for it ! the wings were perfect ! crisp, fresh and with great seasoning ! we couldn't get enough and for 4.9 CAD for each basket of 10 ! the beers we ordered and nachos were also great and the service was very friendly and welcoming. PRICES are sooo decent ! and not on happy hour ! 5.7 CAD for a 18 oz beer ! Overall - there is absolutely nothing I can say against this place and we'll be sure to return and soon enough ! (mostly on wings days :))) DON'T MISS OUT ON THIS

Great food, cold drinks, good times. We are a locally owned pub and restaurant specializing in great burgers, excellent fish and meals made from fresh ingredients.
We saw an ad for the Millstone in our local paper and, after a day running errands, decided to give it a try.We knew the road it was on but after driving the whole length couldnât find it. On a whim we pulled around the rear of one of the buildings and found it. I am glad we didnât give up looking. When you enter there are two sides, pub and restaurant. The pub side has a TV, pub style tables and is very warm feeling. The restaurant side is cozy and I personally think it would be a great spot for a group visit. It feels a bit like youâre in someoneâs rec room.We ordered onion rings as a starter, the haddock fillet with fries and the steak & wings with mashed for mains and a BLT with poutine to go. I tried the Nine Locks Dirty Blonde draught. The rings were really good. Not your standard batter, crispy and full. My husband said the haddock was right up there with the best heâs had. The steak was cooked perfectly and covered with a pepper sauce that also tasted really good on the mashed potatoes. The wings were very good, I would definitely like to go back and try a full order. My son enjoyed his BLT, found it very filling - so much so he couldnât eat much of his poutine. The Nine Locks was nice as well. Sara was our waitress and service was excellent in every way.We walked out very full and very satisfied. Total bill was just over 83.00 after tax, which is reasonable for what we had.I only rated it a four because of the challenge we had finding it. Apparently they normally have a sandwich board out front, but it was a windy/rainy day so they couldnât leave it out.Weâll definitely be back.

Mabata is a Glocal Eatery that is nestled in Bedford with ocean views of the Bedford basin. It is a contemporary gourmet and fully licensed eatery with a menu that is globally inspired and locally sourced, offering premium curated sharing plates, burgers,
Delightful because I wasn't expecting such lovingly prepared, local food. The menu is small but unique and the food is exquisitely presented. The location is a bit odd (on the Bedford Highway at the bottom of Larry Uttek Drive. There is a patio which seems comfortable -- I ate inside both times I have been there. The decor is simple, the service is excellent and the chef takes real pleasure in describing the food. There is a real sense of pride in the staff. I had the lobster roll which had large chunks of meat as well as finely cut up meat on a beautiful long bun. The French fries are thinly sliced and cooked to perfect, served with fresh greens. The local sturgeon (I did say the food is unique, right) fish cakes are a perfect size and yummy as a starter. My two companions had the burger and both agreed it was really really good. On my second visit, I had the fish and chips which were crispy-battered, flaky white wonderfulness. Dessert - Oh my goodness, the poached apple wascaramelly, pepper crumble, plate lickable, the chocolate ganache with frozen fresh fruit puree was definitely for the "I like chocolate like most people like to breathe" person in the group and on my second visit I had the parsnip (yes, I said parsnip) cheese cake with ginger and lemon --- best . . . cheese ... . cake. . . ever!!! Just go, you won't be disappointed. We appreciate your review, and are very happy to know that you enjoyed your experience at Mabata, hope to see you again soon

The atmosphere is always lively and good at Finbars. The selection of local craft and international draft is excellent. The food was well presented but slightly overcooked i.e. the fish was dry. The use of spices was very good. The waiter was excellent and very attentive.Thank you Thomas! We'll keep an eye on that fish!
