Tia Juanita's is one of my go to lunch spots. My favorite is the shrimp quesidallas, but everything I have ever had there is good. The wait staff is efficient and friendly. Ask for Bryan, he'll make your meal more enjoyable.

Busy Monday night at Twin Peaks in Beaumont, TX. Cheerful Allyson greeted me immediately and quickly led me to a table. Same cheerful person also was my waitress, providing exceptional service throughout my visit. Food (chicken sandwich) and cold drinks were delicious. Good value for the $. Who knew Beaumont was such a scenic locale?

The cracklins served here are absolutely the best around. Sometimes I get two small bags and a diet Dr Pepper, and that's my dinner! You can't go wrong here. I just wish they would open another location. (I sure miss the one on Calder)They have other things too, but I can't seem to order anything else. The cracklins are just that good.

A business conference took me to the MCM Elegante Hotel. The staff was as attentive and efficient as that of a high end hotel. My room was clean and quiet and the bed made for sweet dreams. The conference luncheon table décor and linens were lovely, and the staff was very quiet removing our dishes.
