We hadn't been to eat here for about 8 months but we were confident that the food would still be awesome and it was. We had friends with us that hadn't eaten here before and they loved it too. The food is delicious and served hot. The owner is beautiful and she is so helpful when ordering your dishes. The decor is inviting, parking is not an issue as it is not in the centre of town, the staff are friendly and the food is fantastic. If you love Indian, then give this place a try. You won't be disappointed.Hi Sally, Thanks for this wonderful review, reviews like this motivate us for our future plans for this place. we look forward to see you again

Traditional pub with great meals and service in a cosy, family friendly environment. Bar meals, dining room and outside area.
A group of us dined recently at this hotel that has undergone a refurbishment. The staff were informative, friendly and the service was efficient. We enjoyed the menu selection that combines traditional pub food with some specials. The only criticism is the lamb souvlaki dish should have had the pita bread served on the side not going soggy under the lamb and Greek salad.

We had walked past this restaurant many times and decided on a whim to try it out. It was not very busy, which on a Saturday night should be a clue. We were seated and told someone would be over to look after us. Ten minutes later nobody was, and one of us walked over to ask if someone could take our order. Nobody came, still. We were on the point of leaving, when somebody came over to clear the empty table next to us. We asked her to take our order, but were told she would come back - clearly dirty dishes were way more important than customers - so this time we did leave. We figured that if they didn't want to take our order promptly, they probably wouldn't want to serve our meals promptly either.Throughout most of this time one staff member was polishing glasses behind the bar; and another had a lengthy conversation, which looked like a personal one, with a customer. The menu was very limited, and there was little that appealed. The prices were high for what they were - over $20 for a starter burger is not good value. We had called upstairs first for a quick drink, as the upstairs roof bar used to be nice. Now it is a giant TV room - so we didn't stay there either.HI, we appreciate you taking the time to leave us with your feedback. We are very disappointed to hear that you did not receive the level of service that you deserve. We would love the chance to reach out to you personally to invite you back for a second chance. Please email us at [email protected] with a copy of your review and best contact number and a member of the team will be in touch. Thank you, TSG

Irish Murphyâs is located on historical Sturt Street, in the heart of Ballarat. Open 7 days a week, our Bar offers the finest Guinness in town with hearty food to match! Our Kitchen is open from 11:30 am â 2 pm for lunch, then from 6 pm â 9 pm for dinner.
Like another reviewer our Sunday night meals were spoiled through lack of choice. There were so many menu choices unavailable that our profusely apologising waitress admitted to having trouble remembering all the dishes that were cancelled for the night. No steak dishes available, no Irish stews, boxtys, etc. Ditto some of the desserts. All of this was blamed on an exceptionally busy Saturday night. Difficult to accept given that it seems to be a recurring problem and that some of the cancelled dishes (e.g. Desserts) would rely on standard pantry ingredients. Also a great pity given that otherwise Irish Murphys Ballarat is great. Warm, inviting, comfortable, toe-tapping background music, interesting and quirky decor, excellent GB ales poured just right, and great friendly fun staff. Also the food that we were able to order (burgers, fish & chips, etc) was pretty good apart from some rather lukewarm and limp chips. We would definitely go back...............but probably not on a Sunday night!

What a gem. Real counter meals like you used to get. Good portion sizes of super âhome styleâ cooking of favourites including mixed grill, salmon patties, lambs fry, chicken Parma. And deserts to including syrup sponge and trifle. Great cosy bar with several draft beers, cheerful staff and what a place to warm the cockles on a cold Ballarat night.

DUCK SPRING ROLLS: Roasted Peking duck spring rolls served with plum sauce $15 - (good crispy spring rolls with lots of duck inside) STICKY PORK BELLY BITES: Cube of slow cooked pork belly dressed with sticky plum sauce, apple and lime salsa $15 - (the pork belly was tough and the skin was hairy which makes it unpleasant to eat and the hair itself was so pointy and sharp. One of them got caught in my throat and hurt for days. Do not recommend to order!!) PORK RIB EYE: Barkers creek king pork cutlet on creamy mashed potatoes, sautéed leeks, cabbage and cranberry citrus jus $30 - (The pork was over cooked and was very bland. No season whatsoever in the mashed potato and cabbage. The cranberry sauce was nice but they only put a tiny amount on top) Locations: The Lake View Hotel @thelakeviewhotel 22 Wendouree Pde Ballarat, Victoriaâï¸Noey Yummy points: 5/1030/04/2019 #noeyeats IG: Natch27

New owners from October 2018, the Munster Arms Hotel is going back to it's original roots and becoming the Irish meeting point in town as it was in 1862. With Hearty meals and a great Irish beers you are sure to have the craic at the Munster Arms
Excellent in all respects. Central location, heaps of parking. Old fashioned pub with relaxed, very pleasant service, wide range of dishes, reasonably priced and excellent food. Large portions too. Can't fault it.I'm torn about writing a great review because we'd like to keep this our own little secret but these people deserve to prosper. The Munster will become a regular venue for us.
