We had a nice relaxing, casual dinner here and hope to go back soon. The fish and chips were delicious with a wonderful fried batter. The french dip sandwich was also very good. Our server was very attentive and took good care of us.

The Sandbar Village Beach Bar & Lounge features food, cocktails, beer, fire pits and live music just feet from Avalonâs beach. Guests will love the open-air, care-free atmosphere complete with palm trees and sand on your toes!
We are local neighbors of the Icona for many years, (30), and have seen a few different owners/managers.Our meal at the Beach bar today was the worst ever. We were truly hoping the new owner would try to improve on the food at the Beach bar since it is so enjoyable to be there in the sand, listening to great music and having a good time. Today I was wishing I was at McDonalds for a quarter pounder instead of eating my Sand bar burger, our white pizza looked like they forgot the cheese. No drink specials like in the past. Really feel sorry for guests of the hotel that this is the quality of the food in a First rate hotel. No wonder no locals eat there. Neither will we.

The bride and I stopped in to catch a ball game on TV knowing this was one of the only options in the off season. Good news: our game was on a couple of different screens and the audio was on. Other good news? Our barkeep, Thomas, I think, was gracious and gave great service,Food? Bar food and average at best and overpriced. Only because we were hungry did we finish our lunch. Will remember only to drink there if, and it is a big if, I ever go back.
