Find out what Pub restaurants to try in Annapolis. With more surviving 18th century buildings than any other city in the United States, visiting Annapolis is like stepping back in time to the days when the city was a colonial seaport. Known as America’s Sailing Capital, the city is located on the shores of the Chesapeake Bay and is a paradise for water lovers, famous for its crab cakes, lighthouses, and 500 miles of gorgeous shoreline. Tour the campus of the US Naval Academy, or the Maryland State House, the oldest state capitol still in use.

My first experience at this chain was great. The service was the best I had in 8 nights on the road. My server was polite and offered samples of beer until I chose one I liked. The food was hot and probably the best fish and chips I've had, including trips to London. I will go back again and hope the experience can be replicated.

We stopped here for lunch. Had the fried pickles, the poppers, and the smothered pretzel. It was all typical pub food and nothing to write home about. The beer selection is good and the orange crush I had was perfect. The bartender/waitress was super friendly and nice and got the whole bar laughing and talking. A nice time.

I suggest you read my last review as well because it has many details that remain true today. Yet, when a place actually improves in seven years it deserves an upgrade. And so many unusual and special taste treats. The Whiskey Shrimp on Country Toast appetizer is pretty much unique to Stoney River Steakhouse. Saute-flamed with whiskey and finished with a mustard cream sauce. Also for starters, we loved the crab cake in mustard sauce with fresh mango salsa. You don't think we'd leave Maryland without Crab, do you?Lobster bisque with sherry garnish is among the superior soups. Bone-in Rib-eye was much appreciated and again, for a unique main course, we were really pleased with the steak fillets in buttermilk biscuits. Carrot cake was a wonderful (and super-large) dessert. All good and will not wait seven years to go back.

Stopped off for lunch on the way home. Great bar atmosphere and great American fayre. I enjoyed a shrimp salad wrap and my husband had the chilli bowl. Both were great. The kids ordered off the children’s menu and again the food was first rate. The true highlight though were the chicken wings - a dozen in a portion; we had half Thai sweet chili flavor and half bar-b-q. They were heavenly and very tasty. The staff were polite and attentive and it was great value for money. I would totally recommend the Ram’s Head as a decent restaurant in Annapolis. Helena, thank you for choosing Rams Head Tavern! We're glad that you and your family enjoyed the food and service we provide. Our team looks forward to serving you again soon!

We were seated at a very small table between the busy kitchen with dirty dishes coming in & food coming out and the bathrooms. I wanted to do local seafood. Starting with their crab pretzel appetizer then am moving to mussel’s for lunch. The appetizer was like 6 mini crab cakes with tartar & cocktail sauce - delicious! But this wasn’t the pretzel with dip we ordered. My husband ate 1/2 of his meal before my mussels arrived. They were disappointing; small, shriveled & tasteless in a vinegary wine sauce. I just couldn’t eat it, the chef came out & I ordered a crab cake sandwich with house salad instead of fries. Fresh delicious salad with house vinaigrette. My husband is enjoying his oyster po boy. The crab cake was big juicy & delicious.Large restaurant a few outside tables, big bar. Pub atmosphere with tables close together. Very close together.Tab for 2 lunches, drinking water with tax & tip $65

My husband & I were on our way to Virginia for a mini vacation & decided to try & find some place that Guy Fieri visited on Triple D. This has been of quest of ours for a few years & we got to a place a few years ago only to find out they weren't opened for the day yet. So while my husband drove I looked on the Internet to see if anything was close by that Guy had visited. The angels must have heard me because we found a place! I was SO excited! LOL The pub is located in a residential area & parking like others have said can be tough, thankfully we didn't have that issue & found a parking space right away. We walked up to the hostess stand outside & were seated inside pretty quickly even though the restaurant was very busy. The tables are very close together but not super crammed. When we walked in I was looking for proof Guy was there & sure enough found the picture on the wall. It's in an odd place by the window where the food is placed for servers to grab so I politely asked a lady (who was an employee) standing by the window if I could take a picture of the picture. She said I could but wasn't really polite about it. I'm sure they get people like me all the time asking if they can take a picture of the picture but she could have been a little friendlier about it. I mean after all I only knew of the place because of the show. I thought things were going to go downhill after that but it didn't. Our waitress was very nice & very attentive to my husband & I. My husband had the crab cake sandwich that came with coleslaw & he chose potato salad as his side. The crab cake sandwich was amazing with lots of crab. I like the coleslaw & he liked it just not as much as me. The potato salad was good but I felt the potatoes were a little hard but that's my opinion. He liked it. I had a cheeseburger & it was cooked perfectly! Well seasoned & perfect. Now about those fries, my husband & I are not fans of skinny fries at all. I decided to try them & am really glad I did. They were very good & they tasted hand cut. Others have raved about the pretzels they serve there but we didn't try one. However the people next to us both had one & they looked amazing. So I can't say how they tasted but they looked good! LOL Hopefully we'll visit again soon.

Dry 85

A modern industrial take on a Prohibition- era speakeasy. A place where you would sneak a bourbon, craft beer and gourmet comfort food meal if Prohibition were still the law of the land today.

This crew loves unique.. and some drinks.. Dry 85 has that on deck! The beer flights are always a hit with my crowd, and this didn’t disappoint.. Try the Adroit Theory Margarita.. Really different.. We also tried a drink from their extensive menu.. “The Root of All Evil” Delicious! I’ve seen some mixed reviews here on the food.. Now, this is a whiskey bar with amazing drink selections.. but the food is solid.. wings are average, not very crispy, but that’s a preference. The charcuterie selection is delish, and the Brussels.. well, those are next level. I’m a sucker for a well prepared Brussels selection.. they do a cool Brussels of the day.. today, was a Buffalo and Blue Cheese selection. Yummy! Burgers were solid, not great, but very good. Our waitress, didn’t give her name, but she was excellent. Very friendly, knowledgeable and guided ya through the experience! Pricing is good for the value!
