I have been going to Mark's for quite some time and the food is very good (the specials are mostly excellent). The prices are extremely reasonable and Mark prides himself at keeping his prices low as compared to his competitors - you get really good food here at an incredible value. The crowd is always friendly and we love when Kim is working the bar - she is great. Mark's is truly the Cheers of Rotterdam and, believe me, everyone knows your name here or will before you leave, including Mark. We would love it if they got in some premium wines by the glass, but other than that, we love this place. If you read this review and then head into Marks, tell Mark that Steve from Vero Beach sent you...

Went here for a pre show meal and the food was great, service was a bit slow and the place is noisy. Enjoyed the food. One time I went there for a beer while waiting for a delayed train as this location is right next to the train station. I enjoyed sitting at the bar and being less crowded at the time, the place was quieter.

I hadn't been to this location in over 30 yrs. when it was a German restaurant. My wife and I were very surprised at the delicious meal we both had. I had the Weiner Schnitzel and my wife had a shrimp scampi dinner. The waitstaff was very friendly and we wouldn't hesitate to come back. One other thing, we didn't order dessert because the portions were very generous!

Great little place for freshly pepared, not overly complicated food choices. If you're in a rush, this isn't your place. Making your orders fresh takes a little time, but isn't that a refreshing thought?... Food that is freshly prepared and cooked to order? Yep, this is a good meal at a reasonable price with a friendly and efficient wait staff. Just be careful in the parking lot... that's an area that needs a little work.

I imagine that this place is crowded on most summer nights, but it didn't slow down the service. Great atmosphere and reasonable prices. Food was a little overcooked, especially the sauerbraten.

Have been for lunch and dinner a few times now. The food has always been very good, and it's nice to be able to sit outside on the river. They're very popular, and busy especially on the weekends, but it's pleasant waiting at the bar for a table.
Friendly staff, good service and above average bar food. They make a killer hamburger, not a kids place and you may have to walk though the smokers standing outside.

We were looking for a place out of the ordinary to have dinner. Well, this is the place! Very friendly, with lots of beers on tap and a lovely menu. We really enjoyed the appetizer of clams, white beans and bacon! The beans and greens were wonderful! We also had a delicious clam chowder. ****** five stars for our experience!!

Sometimes I think I'm a food snob because frankly food doesn't often taste worth eating. Everything here was great! We had the mushroom ravioli with short ribs. To die for. The pulled pork sandwich was also very good. Even the Caesar salad was noteworthy with fresh lettuce and a very good dressing. We will be back even though it is out of the way.
