We visited the area excited for the Taste of Alpharetta festival. The festival was enormously crowded and the streets cramped and teaming with people, kids, babies, strollers, and pet dogs and the food lines very long. We decided to just go into a restaurant. Coalition was able to seat us quickly, the hostess very nice. The waiter took our order - my wife ordered fish and chips and I did not place an order. What arrived in a bit excess time was what can only assume was a split order of fish and chips, although that's not what we ordered. Each of our orders consisted of a single long piece of fish and a big tin of fries along with some ketchup, tartar sauce, and a tiny thimble of what was really good cole slaw. We expected more for the price. The fish, we do have to say, was delicious, and the fries were quite good but way too much. The service was lacking. During a busy time like this we would have thought the place would have been fully prepared for a crowd. But the wait staff seemed a bit dizzy and lax. Our request for paper napkins had to be repeated twice. Our order for a Long Island Iced Tea came as we were preparing to leave (it did get taken off the bill). Will probably not visit again. A bit too pricey for the basic fare we received and less than stellar service. Not to mention, when visiting the men's restroom, the one urinal had apparently gotten clogged with napkins. It was overflowing all over the floor. I passed.

I previously did a review of how great this restaurant was. I don’t know what happened this time. Went for dinner on St Patty’s day weekend, expected a wait & the restaurant was nearly empty. Hostess sat us at a high top in the bar, and we waited nearly 10 min (after multiple staff & management walked by with not even a glance at us) finally stopped the manager & his only response was he would see who our waitress was. Food was only ok this time. My French dip bun was burnt as I noticed other patrons bread was also burnt. It started to get busy as we left, but we left disappointed. Will skip next time we’re in town.Hi there, Mstngpony68. We are very sorry about your poor experience at our House on SPD weekend. We hope you will consider sending your feedback and your contact info to us via our website: millersalehouse.com/contact-us/ so that we can reach out to you directly and continue this conversation. We look forward to hearing from you soon!

I have been living in Alpharetta for over 20 years but had not tried this restaurant yet. Tonight we went on an "adventure". The presentation was really nice but the food really lacks flavor. Add that to the hostess who has "painted on pants" that show every nook and cranny, I was really disappointed. Will not be back... The server, Gina, was excellent by the way.

This is a good place to stop after work and let the traffic pass. Food is above average bar fare - recommend the burgers and the knife and fork Caesar with chicken. Our server Darien was fabulous.Thank you for the kind review! We agree that Darien is great and will be sure to pass along your compliments. Thank you also for the kind words on the burgers and Caesar with chicken. We look forward to serving you again soon!

The six of dined here on a Saturday morning. The adults enjoyed the wonderfully ways to serve eggs Benedict and the kids thought the burgers “were to die for”. The service was fast, helpful and courteous. Our total bill for the six of us, including drinks and tip was under $100. We felt like this was a bargain for the quality of the food and service.

We have been to windward many, many times and have never been disappointed. Our faves include the peel and eat shrimp, fried zucchini, burgers, salads, buffalo chicken sandwich, Rueben, French dip, and fish entrees. You literally can’t go wrong here. The seafood is like you’re at the beach. Service has always been good or great. Live bands are also fun on Saturday nights. Especially like Snowblind! Outdoor seating and great drinks as well. Go!

My son and I chose this restaurant after checking it out online and proximity to the Marriott on Windward Parkway. It was raining so we wanted a close parking spot but couldn't find one. There isn't a traditional parking area for this restaurant so be aware. Also, its partial claim-to-fame is that they do not take reservations. We got in as a two-top quickly. The restaurant is unabashedly bare-bones. Most meals/appetizers can be eaten without utensils which are found in a cool wooden tray in the center of the table. Our waitress took our order by memory and was great! The beer selection is fairly daunting also. It is actually a fairly small place and gets pretty loud which is affected by the numerous TVs but there are plenty so no seat misses a view. I loved the FFI which is a shaved angus rib-eye sandwich. The truffle fries are a must also.

We met some friends here and I was a little disappointed. First, it was very loud. I could barely hear our conversation. We ordered a tempura type eggplant appetizer...not good. I could barely chew the eggplant. Then we had some cauliflower cheese soup. Not bad, but not great. Kind of expensive for what we had. I'd go somewhere else next time. Service was average and the waiter was nice.
