We visited with 2 children (7 and 5), who naturally loved digging around in the sand and playing so all the better for the parents to relax, lean back and enjoy their excellent coffee... Friendly service with sight seeing tips thrown in... Definitely a fabulous place to stop after a bike ride... ;-)Hi there! We were glad to have you. Thanks for the lovely review.

Stadskaffee Laurens in Ackmaar Is located next to the cathedral in an historic building. I was told it was a former police station. The dining area is open with high ceilings and it is a fusion of old and modern in a wonderfully tasteful design. The food was beautifully prepared and top quality. The price of food and drinks was reasonable. The regular menu avocado and salmon and avocado and feta sandwiches were both delicious and the special teriyaki salad had beef that melted in the mouth.

Called in here on a hot summer day and got a nice table on the busy outside part that sits over the canal. Although busy it was a nice atmosphere. Ordered the bacon butty, served in a bun, not bread, and it was very nice and good value for a place like this. Not a great deal of Irishness about the bar, but very pleasant all the same. Would definitely go back.

We enjoyed a lovely meal with the four of us. Service was good, decor tastful and the starters and mains were delicious. Dessert of eclair was a bit dull, but the ipa beer was lovely. Highlight was the porterhouse steak for two, succulent !Bedankt Dave voor de review! Fijn dat jullie hebben genoten van de Porterhouse steak en de Ipa's! Eten & Drinken is so close to Kass (Cheese) Museum and also near the statue of the âKissing Ladyâ. Tourists flock here and there is always a line up to be seated. Mainly Bier (Beer!), draft or otherwise, hard liquor, combined with burgers or any continental favourite. Outside seating gives a fantastic view of the landmarks nearby and passing crowd. Very relaxing and very courteous service.
