The Hunter's Bar is located inside the Dunraven Arm Hotel, straight back from the front doors. It serves soup, sandwiches, and a hot entree at lunch, and has a more extensive casual dinner menu. But it's main function is as a cocktail bar. We went late in the evening and had a Chocolate Martini and a Bulmer's Irish Cider. Both were delicious, and the service was prompt and friendly. The atmosphere is lovely with wood paneled walls and a fireplace. We brought a deck of cards with us and settled in near the fireplace. The cards attracted the attention of several patrons who stopped to have a quick & cheery conversation with us. We loved this cozy bar!

After sightseeing in Adare, and since we had parked right across the street we stopped in for lunch. They are connected to a side room which is in the old Courthouse. They even have a table in the Jail. We ordered. When food arrived, the presentation was great. Unfortunately, it wasn’t what I ordered but it looked great. No problem, quickly fixed. All of us loved our meals. After lunch we went upstairs to the Old Courthouse museum. Great afternoonRecommended.

I have eaten here each year for the past ten years when visiting in Adare. I was totally embarrassed this year. I took a relative in for dinner. We sat in the back and they did see us come in. No one offered us a menu or came to take an order. They were busy with a barbecue in the back. They literally walked past us five times and never acknowledged us. The bartender saw us and never acknowledged us. There are other pubs in Adare and I doubt that this one will see us again when we are there next June.

We were in Adare for a week and this became our favorite spot. Really great good and friendly staff. We had a variety of different food items and they were all quite good. It's easy to find on Main street. Many families were there enjoying the food and atmosphere. While it's a pub it's really kid friendly. We will definitely be back.

Called for the first time with my wife this Thursday afternoon. The exterior and menu looked lovely. When we ordered the fish cakes the gentleman informed us he was out of them, (Should have told us that from the outset) but he recommended the fish and chips (with mushy peas and salad)"it's lovely " he said. My God, what a disappointment!! Portion was small considering the price €14.50. We were expecting home cut chips, but turned out to be crappy oven type. As for the fish ,awful, mostly soggy batter. Just a small spoonful of cold peas and a token salad. However ate a share of it as we were fairly hungry. Not much words spoken but got the impression he knew when weren't impressed. Maybe we were unlucky to hit a bad day, as the majority of reviews are good, but suffice to say we won't be returning!Dear Paudie. Thank you for calling in to my bar Seán Collins & Sons Bar Adare yesterday and I am sorry to read your disappointing review. I was not aware at all until I read this review today that anything was amiss with your visit with us. I wish you had said something to me yesterday as I could have sorted out a fresh plate of food or a different food offering to you while you were here but you never gave any indication that anything was wrong with your food while you were on the premises. Your clean plates indicated to me that you must have enjoyed your food. It is most disappointing that you kept your dissatisfaction to yourself and chose to share it on Tripadvisor rather than share it firstly with me so that I could have had the opportunity to rectify the situation while you were here. As you said in your review you won't be returning which again robs me of the opportunity to rectify the situation and all I can do now is defend my team and myself begrudgingly through the horrible public medium of Tripadvisor. I cannot attain the impossible by hoping to please all of the people all of the time but I and my team do our very best every day to try to give every single customer the best possible customer experience. I can assure all our you that the Fish was not soggy as the gluten free batter is prepared each day by myself and I would not allow a soggy batter to be presented to a customer. The peas were not cold as they were heated to order by the chef and we would have gladly provided more if you had asked me while you were here. Our chips are hand peeled and hand cut each day and again cooked to order. Yes they are the thin cut chips but are most certainly not the oven type chips and it is insulting to my kitchen team and myself to suggest this. If you had asked me I would have provided you with a larger salad portion if that was what you required but you said nothing about wanting more of anything while you were with me. I understand and fully accept that what we serve may not to be to everyone's liking as it is impossible to please all customers all the time but I ask before you have a go at wrecking someone's reputation again by posting a review such as the one above about another business I suggest that you afford the restaurant or business owner the opportunity to rectify things by bringing your complaint to them while you are on the premises and if you don't get a proper reply or don't feel like your complaint was dealt with properly then by all means tell the world but tell the owner first as really they are the only ones who can sort out your complaint.

Absolutely delighted with the Glen Tavern. After suffering the truely awful O'Driscolls Bar on the other side of the river the day before, the Glen Tavern was a joy - everything you hope a traditional Irish pub should be... friendly helpful staff who were only too happy to put sport on the various screens around the pub, great food and that was well priced (and a good pint too) and pleasent fellow customers. For anyone drinking in the centre of Limerick City, I'd say give it a visitHi there wayoutsider, We are delighted to hear that we managed to turn your evening around for the better during your visit. Thank you so much for your lovely review and your recommendation of pub. We hope that next time you're around Limerick, you'll call in to see us again! Kind Regards, Ger.
