Cantinho dos Sabores is a new concept in Zambujeira do Mar. Supermarket, breakfasts, snacks and tapas. It is space with a modern and pleasant decoration with outdoor terrace. If you want to snack between 8am and 11pm in the summer and 9am and 7pm in the w
We had a great light lunch at this café on their airy and white terrasse with plenty of shade. Very fresh salad plus a good grilled cheese. Finished with coffee and wonderful chocolate cake made here. Service was informal and very friendly. There is a mini market inside that is just as nice. This place is a great alternative to all the full service restaurants around here.

The staff were really friendly and helpful here. The fish we had was really fresh and tasty (dourado) This restaurant is slightly off the beaten tourist track, but is worth seeking out for good value tasty Portuguese food. It was a great introduction for our first night in Zambujeira.

We have eaten here before and it was ok. Nothing to rave about but reasonable food at a reasonable price. We shared a portion of fried octopus which was lovely. Don't get me wrong it was really very good.We both chose picanha, recommended from the day menu. What an utter disappointment or maybe a disgrace to pass this off as picanha- steak knives barely cut it! Thinly sliced bits of beef that was tough and chewy, not picanha as I know it which is the cap of the rump steak and known for its tenderness. This was sliced on a machine into 3-4mm strips, tough as old boots and not picanha. We didn't eat our meal and who ever was in charge came out and proudly showed us a bag of meat from Holland which said picanha. Enough said.In my opinion the cut of meat was probably silverside or top rump, both needing a long roast to be their best, not flashed over a grill.I also asked him where the picanha cam from and he pointed to his shoulder- maybe it does in Portugal but not in South America or any other place I have had it. Even my butcher at home in England knows how to do a picanha. Note to the owners- maybe check your suppliers

Just popped into this place by chance because the restaurant across the street was closed, but we were far from disappointed. Nice staff, decent prices, but - most importantly- very nice food. We had the cod gratin and the alentejanian pork dish with small clams - absolutely delicious! Highly recommend.

Nice that this place has outside seating not far from the beach. The octopus salad for starter was actually good, but the fish was the worst I've had in the Alentejo coast. Service was dead slow. It took the waiters 33 min to bring my grilled fish. When it came to pay the check the servers were so confused that customers had to queue inside the restaurant to pay. If you waited at your table you'd better bring a sleeping bag for dinner.

phone: Entrada da Barca; 283 961151. This is a fantasitc fish restaurant , at the top of the jetty they have fresh fish daily. Great seafood, Alentejo specialties, cakes and service, all the locals and fishermen hang out there. Indoor restaurant and pat
Fish is obviously the thing to order. You get to choose your own fish, but we got no question about how we would like it served. It arrived with a few cooked potatoes and a small salad at the side. Taste was good, but nothing exceptional. The staff was efficient, but not very helpful or customer focused. The interior is basic, wooden benches and paper cloths. Do not expect fine dining. The view from the outside tables is very nice.
