This small restaurant delivers very good food, an much better than normal wine list, and excellent service. Our favorite dishes were the rack of lamb and the octopus. Be forewarned that the octopus entree is huge & perhaps best split. The mushroom appetizer and the pepper & cod appetizer were both very good. This is one of the Lisbon restaurants that I would highly recommend.

nova Is a space in Chiado dedicated to the new Portuguese wines. With an "industrial-chic" decor it works as a wine shop and bar. Where also, one can taste several dishes of Portuguese food. Menu not recommended for children.
We stopped in here for a late afternoon glass of vino & some snacks. My wife ordered a white Sauvignon Blanc while I opted for the 3-grape red blend from the Douro Valley. Both were excellent & paired well with our food choices of young goat cheese with olive oil & dried tomato paste & a second plate of smoked blood sausage - wonderful. Great wine wonderful food & outstanding service!!

invicta madragoa is a new typical portuguese restaurante that offers na all new concept related with the country flavours. The walls made in stone leads our thoughts to the most wonderfull and old places in Portugal. the restaurant`s atmosphere combined w
Very small âstorefront â eatery with about 10 tables. Do not be fooled, it came highly rated and did not disappoint. Pick your own fish for dinner.....I had the sea bream and my wife the salmon. Coupled with the house white wine and topped off with dessert it made for a most enjoyable meal. Price was more than reasonable.

This is a very small restaurant run by a lovely kind couple that clearly loves what they do. The lady was the wine connoisseur. We decided to accompany our lunch with wine by the glass. She will make recommendations and let you taste before choosing. We had Douro Colinas do Douro, with our sardines, which were wonderful, Mare & Corvus with sausages and linguica, which were served with mango; the dish was very good, and others with our main dishes. Out of the way but worth a visit.

We so wanted to love this place, having heard accolades from a close friend and having reading generally terrific reviews. We were greeted by a warm and welcoming hostess/server who apologized profusely for our table not being quite ready and made up for it with a nice glass of wine. She was also very helpful in walking us through the somewhat quirky menu- a rather limited and odd assortment without an obvious theme. Two dishes we ordered - sardines and a chocolate lava cake - were excellent. Two - carrot salad and cod - were not. The former was a collection of cooked/chilled sliced carrots swimming in a broth that tasted too strongly of raw garlic. The cod pieces were well cooked but very bland, accompanied by cooked cabbage that was again badly seasoned with garlic, this time burned. Perhaps our expectations were too high, but perplexing to us that our experience seemed so contrary to what others have reported - not sure why. PS - as others have reported, the prices are incredibly low.

Family project, flavors from the south of Portugal and Brazil. Honesty and simplicity is the only thing we have to offer in a place where love is the secret ingredient! Come and try, let's be friends for one night!
We entered this little restaurant by coincidence and we even had a table without reservation, which is quite rare apparently. But wow, what a surprise. The food is delicious! Also the service is enjoyable, personal and warm. Prices are reasonable.I definately recommand this place. And I will certainly go back if I'm in Lisbon again Little side note: The seating can be uncomfortable

We had dinner at Sala. It is a small restaurant with an open kitchen. Immaculate and thoughtful interior design through to the cutlery and plates and gleaming copper pots in the kitchen. And then there is the menu which is innovative and truly an artistic expression on a beautiful plate.Very exciting food. And a real dining experience.Hello Gill, Thank you for your words to our design that so much represent to us.Best regards João Sá
