We usually try to eat local food while traveling, but we decided to go to Pigalle as it was closer to the airport and we had to catch a 1 AM flight. It was our best meal in South Africa.We had the Portuguese caldo verde, the prawns aguilho and the cod fish. Everything was delicious.

Had dinner at Mozambik last night. Having been subjected to the heat of a Johannesburg summer heatwave all day it was very pleasant to sit on the outdoor balcony sipping a gin and tonic as temperatures gradually cooled. The extensive menu has something for everybody and we enjoyed the rissoles as a starter. Available in chicken, prawn or spinach and feta the crisply fried rissoles were well enjoyed. We followed these with calamari in a lemon and herb butter sauce and I can honestly say that the beautifully tender pieces of calamari were some of the best I have ever eaten and the sauce was equally delicious. Only the fact that I felt very full stopped me from asking for some bread to mop up the remaining sauce. We will definitely return.Hi Gillian D,Thank you so much for this amazing review! Great little restaurant tucked away in a small shopping centre.Recently refurbished with nice relaxing decor but completely functional.Food is Portuguese or Mozambique style with super seafood, chicken peri peri and such like. Staff are great and very attentive without being fussy and prices really reasonable, much cheaper than Sandton.Could not recommend more highly.

We had a delicious family meal at this upscale seafood restaurant. It may specialize in seafood but the grill was also fantastic. We were a family of four with two teenagers. The restaurant offered a great range of starters and main courses. Overall a great meal at a very reasonable price.

Fun ambiance and service superb. That doesnât make up for fact fish was rubbery and not properly cooked. Seasoning was uneventful. Hoped for more peri peri taste although they had sauce in table. Not the same as grilled with sauce. Liver starter excellent. Also excellent security getting in and out from street. Sketchy neighborhood way off the grid. Take taxi not safe.

My family and I try and keep up with traditions by going out to dinner, as a family.We have decided that Mozambik Silver Lakes is the best restaurant in Pretoria by far! My mother swears by the Calamari (drenched in their freshly made garlic lemon and herb sauce) and Prawns! And I mean, she isn't wrong! I can't pass up the opportunity to enjoy their beautifully cooked baby chicken with coconut rice either, and to top it up their creme caramel is the highlight of our visit. The staff are amazing, the waiters are always friendly and make every visit personal.Hi AjA444,This review is just AMAZING! Thank you so much for taking the time to give us this feedback! I wanted to go out for a good meal with the family. After looking into the various offerings at Centurion Mall, we decided on O' Galitos. This turned out to be a very good choice. The ribs are absolutely deliciou sand I will seriously recommend them to anyone that is so inclined. Presentation of the meals are beautiful and you know the meal is going to be good from the moment it arrives.

Recommended by our guide as a good, local style of cuisine. We arrived about 30 minutes before they opened, but the sat us and provided drinks and peanuts. Food arrived quickly and was very good.
