One of the best restaurants in Douro region. I tried the bacalhau (codfish) and the polvo and both were delicious. Ask for their Serra da Estrela cheese as an appetizer and you will not regret. Also they have good variety of 1/2 wine bottles, which is good when your partner is not drinking. Price is right for the food quality, about 15 euros each individual plate.

we didn't have a good experience here. prices didn't match (outdoors, menu and bill), meals were not much tasty (meat a bit hard to eat, rice/beans not well marinated), my wife ordered a dish with banana and got one with pineapple! portions are large though. The lady waitress was not friendly from the beginning (and we are native portuguese speakers...).

Great 5 course meals for such a reasonable price of 25 Euro. Paired with 5 wines for an extra 10 Euro. Phenomenal food, great flavors. Veal, rabbit and fish dishes were our highlights. Service was personal and with care.Amazing view over the Duro valley

Our hotel host told us about this fantastic Pizzaria high up on the hill in Armarmar, Porgual. The prices were really reasonable, as were the drinks, the service prompt and the views across the Douro Valley were absolutely gorgeous. Indoor and outdoor seating available. Don't miss this gem if you stay in this delightful town in Northern Portugal.

Mira o Douro is located in a wonderful place, but just few steps away from the so called centre. Interesting, delicious tapas and typical local food. Churrasqueira, the local grilled chicken is one of the best sellers of the place, but you can try anything else!

We had an amazing meal at this gorgeous, clean cantinho. Manuela cooked us some beautiful cabrito (baby goat) which was tender and tasted delicious when washed down with the very very good local Douro house red. Thank you to José for your suggestions!!

Found this restaurant through Trip Advisor reviews, and made reservations for lunch as part of our full day of driving and wine tasting. Well worth the "off the beaten" path location. Atmosphere, views, friendliness of the owner, food, wine, pricing, all made this a great lunch experience, and would highly recommend.

We were very happy with every aspect of our experience at this restaurant.The patio seating is pleasant with picturesque views of the Douro River and opposing hillside vineyard. It wasn't too hot when we visited, but if you tend to get warm indoor seating looked nice as well.The food was wonderful. Very fresh, with nice combinations and mixtures of flavors. I ordered the risotto, which was wonderful, but not filling enough so I also ordered the octopus. The food was a mixture of traditional and contemporary Portuguese cuisine.We arrived early in our rental car, as there are not a lot of spots in the small parking lot, although I imagine you could park on the street. I saw that some people walked from the cruise ship parked close by.Thank you for the kind words and I am pleased you enjoyed your meal. Parking during the harvest is difficult and we are trying to improve this. We dont get many people from the boats coming to see us as they tend to be all inclusive.
