Set in an old watermill in Ponte da Barca since 1996 but completely renovated in 2017, right next to the beautiful bridge of the fifteenth century which gives its name to this town, you find the Restaurante O Moinho. A Portuguese regional cuisine restaura
Really great meal!!!Even though we arrived on the late side, we had a wonderful lunch. The meat was quite tender, the fried potatoes were homy and not greasy. I highly recommend the "vinhão", if you appreciate this region's wine.Desserts were really good too...Not the first time we were here. Again very good service.Wonderful view!

What a lovely restaurant. The interior is nicely decorated but, on a summer evening, the rear garden patio is the place to be, with its view over the Lima River and the bridge. We loved the variety of the menu and particularly appreciated the vegetarian and gluten-free options. The alheira in pastry appetiser was delicious and my wife really enjoyed her sardines spring rolls. The main course was equally enjoyable and there was a variety of desserts including artisanal ice cream. All four of us were happy with all of our dishes,.The efficient and friendly staff contributed to a very enjoyable experience. And the prices were very reasonable. We will return the next time we visit Ponte Da Barca.

This is a restaurant where locals go and with good regional dishes. Do not expect a fancy place though. Portions are very large and tasty and prices are acceptable.

We went there based on the reviews, but it was nothing special. Food was dry and overpriced. The pineapple I ordered for dessert tasted like onion. Service was good, but we were the only ones in there. probably won't go there again.

I wisit this restaurant several times each year and it continues to offer the very best in trabitional Portuguesefood in great surroundings at very reasonable cost. It has been in the same family hands of the 25 year that I have neen eating here and with the owner's daughter, Ana Costa, obviously taking over more of the management, I am sure that it will continue to thrive for many more years. If you have never tried tripe cooked i the Portuguese was, come here on Wednesday; it is a world away from the limp and flavourless offerings of Northern England! There is a good list of wines, too. The house Vinho verde is excellent.

I went here for lunch after a searching at Tripadvisor app. The restaurant is rated as the #2 in the town. The restaurant is small and dark with traditional decor and serving genuine Portuguese food. It's not a cheap restaurant, but either expensive, to me considering the food quality it's acceptable. At lunch time it can be crowded.PROS- food: tasty and well cooked;CONS- Payment only with cash, I can understand, but in our days is not practical;DO I WILL RETURN?can happen, not sure as first option

A classic case of "you can't judge a book by looking at the cover" but when people are queuing out of the door then you think "this place must be a bit of ok" !Stayed in Arcos for a week & dined at O Braseiro 3 times, super food very reasonably priced served by friendly efficient staff one of whom speaks very good English !Not the prettiest of restaurants but who cares.......not us !
