Find out what Polynesian restaurants to try in Oahu. The Hawaiian island of Oahu is a surfer’s paradise, with swelling waves that can reach epic heights. No wonder, then, that it’s the site of one of the world’s premier competitions, the Triple Crown of Surfing. If hanging ten isn’t your thing, you can still enjoy the beautiful beaches – particularly famous Waikiki Beach in Honolulu. Art connoisseurs will appreciate the annual Hale'iwa Arts Festival, a celebration of local crafts, painting, jewelry, sculpture, dance, and music.

There are more tables inside this little restaurant than there are parking spaces out side. They share the building with a animal feed store which was kind of a turn-off but we braved on for a "Michelin" experience. We had their much touted short ribs and their butterfish collar. The ribs were tough and offer little meat or flavor. The butterfish was mostly bone but I did like the taste and texture of it. My wife did not like anything about it. I grant that it did not have a pleasing, appetizing aroma. We had very poor service. We felt like they didn't really want tourist business.

I always start my day with breakfast at the Hula Grill. You can't beat the food and beautiful view (ask for a table by the railing). My favorite is the acai bowl! The entire staff is attentive and friendly. Special kudos to John (supervisor) and Trinette. I also enjoyed appetizers and drinks in the Plantation bar. They had a mother and daughter performing along with a hula dancer. An enjoyable evening listening to good music and enjoying the food and drink.

During a 5-day trip to the island, only place we returned to eat a second time. Overall two of us had the pork sliders, fish dinner special, Cajun chicken pasta all of which were great and would gladly order any of them again. Only thing that was average I had the burger for lunch on our second visit and as good as everything else had been, getting a âusualâ burger was a bit disappointing. What made up for the burger was the macadamia nut pie, only wish I had listed to our server and gotten it with ice cream. Both trips I had the Arnold Palmer (half lemonade, half tea) and this is the best place I have ever found for this drink to include many restaurants in Georgia. Both our visits, they did not offer beer on tap, saying the system was down and sounds like it would be a while before it was working again, so if that is a show stopper for you, call before you drive down.Is a fun 50âs/60s era tiki bar with a view of the marina through vegetation. I did not have mixed drinks, but price wise, they were definitely the best I saw on our trip, and people around us looked to enjoy them, if not the driver I would have loved to check them out...maybe next trip!As mentioned before, itâs in an industrial area and I doubt anyone would find it just driving around, so put in in your maps and find this hidden gem!

The Garlic Chicken was the best I've ever had. If you are looking for a "fine dining" experience, ambience, etc. this is not the place. This local eatery has outdoor picnic tables in the parking lot but serves the best food around. Extremely generous portions, fresh and hot with tasty seasonings. It soon became one of our "go to" places while we were in Hauula. Can't wait to get back!

From the moment we walked up the steps until we walked out, the service was wonderful. Every person we interacted with had a great attitude, were helpful and provided excellent service. And, as with the other 2 Roy's at which I've been a guest, the food was amazing! I wanted to try the sushi, but knew I wouldn't have room with the rest of the meal. I had one of the "tasting" meals...so delicious! The 3 sample appetizers were the perfect start. The fish was so delicate and perfectly cooked and enhanced (but not overwhelmed) by the sauce. The pineapple upside-down cake was the perfect ending! The restaurant is in the Embassy Suites, so there are accommodations if you have mobility issues. Note that there are steps to the main hostess desk, but there's also a door from the hotel side so if you're in a wheelchair, there's still easy access. The staff is so helpful and I'm sure you'll enjoy your experience.

Highway Inn's Town location (Kaka'ako). The younger sister store to our establishment founded in 1947 in Waipahu. Serving Traditional Hawaiian Fare alongside Hawaiian inspired local plates to appeal and introduce our guests to Hawaiian Cuisine.
Went here for lunch and loved all the family memorabilia and the tutus program for local grandmothers! We had the poke pupu and the fish tacos. Loved the taro tortilla and the fish was well-seasoned and well-cooked. I prefer poke that does not have mayo but the spice was good. Service was very friendly and all the local dishes coming out looked great. Bonus points for the food served on lunch trays!

Tita's Grill, Is a family friendly, local Hawaiian style Food Truck. We are now located at the Hukilau Marketplace at the Polynesian Cultural Center right off Kamehameha Highway. Drive up, park and order straight from our window. We offer take out, cateri
We grabbed lunch here before entering the Polynesian Cultural Center. The food and portions were great for the price. I ordered a beef teriyaki plate, which was served with white rice and macaroni salad. The beef teriyaki was bursting with flavor, and very tender. The rice and macaroni salad were very good as well. My niece ordered the Korean chicken, which was nicely breaded white meat chicken with a tangy, slightly spicy flavor. This is a good option for a quick meal at the Polynesian Cultural Center.Thank you for sharing your experience with us and come back soon! Mahalo!
