Poznan was once the capital of Poland and is still the capital of the Wielkopolska region. Poznan lies midway between Berlin and Warsaw, which has helped make it an important town for centuries. Badly damaged in World War II, the city (especially its Old Town) has been beautifully restored. The huge Old Town Square (Stary Rynek) is one of Europe’s nicest, and is lined by fabulous historic attractions, restaurants and nightlife. The Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul is Poland’s oldest cathedral.

What a Patates Frites! Delicious, the best I have ever eaten. They take really good care of their dishes and serve delicious meals, prepared with very good care. Unfortunately this place is not very big. Prices are average, food is fresh and the staff is very pleasant and helpfull. Absolutely a good place to go, close to the city center.

The Ratuszova Restaurant kindly invites all visitors of Poznan who are keen on tasting traditional Polish cuisine. Some of our specialties include soup of duck with soft, homemade noodles, roasted duck with apples as well as venison dishes. All enthusiast
Great Polish food. For an American, it seemed very authentic to me. Service was excellent and the atmosphere was very nice. Only negative was the price seemed high to me compared to other Polish restaurants in the area we visited, but I did not complain because the food was so tasty.

Welcome to the first DARK RESTAURANT in Poland, a place where everything takes place in complete darkness. We welcome people who seek new experience, are brave and open-minded. There is no menu, we only serve surprises. Dark Resturant to pierwsza restaura
We went there by accident. However decided to stay, new experience etc. We were asked what menu we would like have. This interview was bizzare, as first lady explaining the rules was simply rude (when she was asked a quiestion, she said âi would tell if you allow me to finishâ) and she was basically an ignorant - she stated that bizzare menu is based on Asian cuisine âas they eat everythingâ - so no comments here...Anyway - the event itself. Dark like a hell, waiter was supposed to serve us wine from the bottle that he left on the table. Guess what? We managed to find the bottle and served ourselves... then after desert we waited ages before someone took us from there. So concluding - service DISASTER!! From that perspective I would never recommend the restaurant. And food? I would say average. Bizzare ingridients - worms, bulls penis, balls etc - ok. It was funny to discover with cheff what we have eaten.Bill - similarly like service - disaster. So forget about value for money. We overpaid like a hell. So concluding - expensive new experience that I will never repeat.

Pulled pork is not typical food for Poland. Which was primarily why I was so blown away by the amazing pulled pork here. It greatly exceeds the average pulled pork in America and would rate it one of the best. The only downside was the mediocre service which is typical in Poland.

This place is a bit on the side from the city center so you definitely won't end up here by accident. But it is worth a ride and search for it. Place is nicely and modernly arranged without any useless decorations (even the washroom is cute). Menu is short, exactly how I like it but long enough to give you a choice no matter what you have an appetite for. Dishes are definitely extraordinary and sophisticated and I doubt you'll find any similar anywhere else. The only small minus goes for final service. After finishing desserts, we informed the waiter that we are done and we would like to get a bill. He came back to us and OFFERED a shot of a special vodka which we thought is complementary as some restaurants do this. A few minutes after when we got the bill we realised that we were charged for it. Additionally it was a pretty expensive so even though we had a great experience, it made us leave with a little bit bitterness...

We refer to the national Polish cuisine of the nobility, the bourgeois cuisine, and to the rustic cuisine, all of which, as part of their tradition, borrowed much from the dishes of Europe and the dishes of the Orient. We revive the Polish cuisine, while
The food was quite nice but nothing special, the worst part was having to sit and wait for 1h40 before we could eat anything. Hello, please accept our sincere apologies, for the inconvenience is using our restaurant.
