Our meals were tasty, especially "zurek" soup and chicken skewer. It looks nice inside and it´s always crowded - a lot of people eat there which is a sign of good meals, good service and good prices. The choice of meals is not very extensive but I believe it´s enough for everyone to choose from. And they also make pizza (which we didn´t try). Don´t be put off by its rather shabby exterior and terrible stairs leading up to the restaurant; once you enter, you won´t regret it. Many restaurants in Krynica are much nicer from the outside but make worse meals, serve smaller portions and generally are a lot more expensive than in Oberza. It was the third time for us in this restaurant and it never disappointed us.

This is a very nice cafe located in the central part of Krynica, about 300 meters from DOM ZDROJOWY. When looking for it â just look for a green house on the opposite side of a small stream. Together with my family we visit this place since many years â all the time when we are in Krynica. On the base of our last visit I can confirm that this is all the time really the place worth to be visited. First of all because of homemade cakes â fresh and tasty. All the time a few types of cakes are available. My next recommendation is café â tasty and served in very attractive form (various types). For the people who are not in favor of cakes there are also a few more concrete dishes, including homemade dumplings (a few types). Comparing the prices to the other cafes and restaurants round I can say that the prices are really reasonable. During âcold timeâ (late autumn and winter) there are about 20 seats inside (5 tables + a few high chairs in bar style), so sometimes it happens that all of them are occupied. During âwarm timeâ (spring, summer, early autumn) a small âgardenâ with tables under a big umbrella is opened. This is a half- self service café. It means that you should order at the counter and all dishes delivered to the table. This is family owned café and the owner and her daughter are really very hospitable.

We've explored the restaurant almost every day during our two weeks stay in "Paradise", so we hope we are entitled to give readers our fresh opinion about the food and service they providing there. We've tried a lot of different dishes form they're reach menu and we were never disappointed what we have eaten. Perfectly grilled wild salmon filet on a crispy fried green beans, delicious spare ribs on a crispy potato cakes with fried sauerkraut (regional dish), grilled local cheese "oscypek" in bacon served with fresh iceberg lettuce and tasty raspberry and balsamic souse, a variety of very tasty soups and a lot more of nice and freshly made dishes and desserts. All of this thanks to a very professional chef and the rest of restaurants competitive and positively engaged staff. They working very hard with passion to keep the restaurant running smoothly and providing an excellent service not only to hotel's guests. We wish them all the best and we'll keep our fingers crossed that the hotel's other services will compare to the restaurant's standard. We hope we'll let you know about this when we visit Krynica again.

Here you can try some local specialities, but not ordinary turistic stuff like trout and pork, but lamb, wild boar, tuna steak. For more conservative people they offer ordinary (but very tasty) menu that includes pizza, local dishes, soups and italian deserts. They have Guiness on druft (I guess this is the only place in Krynica that have one). And some small children playground. Well worth a visit.

We came for dinner with friends and we were disappointed. One of us is very allergic to a milk and we ordered a meal that didnât have written in composition any milk products and we also made sure and told waitress that she is allergic and asked if there is cheese or cream in that meal and she answered NO. And then brought a meal with melted cheese all over meal so we ask her for a new meal without cheese and she said that we should know that meal has a cheese even if it wasnât written in menu. And she said we have to pay also for a meal with cheese even if we don â t want it.And then I found a long dark hair in another of our meals and all of us have blond hair so we showed it to her and she was acting like nothing happened. One of the worst service I ever experienced.

I visited this place 15mins before closing. The staff didn't refuse to take order and serve meals. We had delicious potato cakes with goulash and sour creme; "flaki" soup and salmon. Great variety of teas, which were nicely served. Nice atmosphere, cosy place and clean toilets.Dear Sirs,Thank you very much for visiting our restaurant and leaving this great opinion.I am also glad that you enjoyed all the dishes and time spent there. Hope you visit us again.Kind regards,Krzysztof Krynicki

While visiting sites in town we decided to stop for a break at an "authentic" Lemko ethnic eatery. Ordered a piece of "szarlotka" apple cake with whipped cream. And a double espresso. The cake was warm and tasty. The coffee came in two cups of espresso.... Both cups went into one and was fine. Nice ambience. Good service otherwise.

Had lunch there yesterday. It was a warm and cosy place with very nice, polite and smiling waitresses. 1 star less because my lamb meat was feeling more like a mutton meat than lamb. The meat freshness was gone.

We were looking for a place with cheap food in Krynica. We found Bar za Rogiem and tried two things, I have eaten very good zurek, and my girlfriend ate pancakes with sweet cheese. Both dishes were really good and amazingly cheap.

Restaurant is open from 12:00 a.m. till 10:00 p.m.as per our reservation schedule. Reservations are obligatory.
The location, quality of food, service, and atmosphere were amazing. Traveling to Poland for many years now for business -this place beats it all. The family run place can easily compete with Michelin star Restaurants in Berlin or Paris. If you are in the area do not miss the culinarily experience of the year!
