Five of us went here and had a very good meal indeed.I had vendace (that's a fish incidentally); actually I got three as they aren't exactly the size of killer sharks; with excellent chips & salad. The mild garlic mayonnaise went really well with it.I was able to sample my girlfriend's pork & potato dish in a beautiful creamy sauce- again, this was Magda Gessler type cooking! Our three fellow diners had a variety of dishes; a salmon pasta dish, a chicken dish and, err, another dish which I can't remember what it was.Suffice to say, the plates were as empty as the Greek Treasury when we'd finished. This restaurant was a great find and, if I didn't live 1250 miles away, I'd definitely go more often!

Our restaurant is located in the center of Mazur - Gizycko. We offer a rich menu. In addition to traditional dishes, we serve fresh fish Masurian. Our offer has been prepared for those who appreciate fresh and delicious food.
we had our first dinner in Gizycko at this restaurant. It was an overall disappointing experience. The fish we had as main was served overly cooked, and the vegetable and black rice sides were not properly cooked..... cocktails as aperitif were ok.... one cannot help but feeling that this restaurant is living off its proximity to the local marina and crowds of tourists dropping in for a quick meal.

Quite spacious restaurant just near the marina. They specialize in local masurian dishes and serve also traditional polish meals. We ate plince, farszynki, all soups, schnitzel (couple of times), potato pancakes and everything was just perfect. Prices are good value for money. The waitress Agnieszka is mega friendly and takes good care of the guests. The only flaw for me is one toilet, which is uncomfortable in such big venue.

This is the best lunch place in whole Poland. You will simply love it. It used to be some kind of bar mleczny when I was very young (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bar_mleczny), now upgraded it still retained some of this style. Located in the center of Gizycko. About 5 minutes walk from the port. It has excellent chlodnik soup, fish soup, pierogi and pancakes. Very popular among locals (they cannot be wrong) and tourists so you might have to wait a bit to get a table or order but do not hesitate even for a second. It is worth it, you will never regret it. It is best Polish food at very decent price.

Old Mill - a charming place near Gizycko in the region of "Great Lakes Country" - Mazury. On the main floor of the 19th century mill is small cosy restaurant, and hotel rooms on two floors. The excellent cuisine incited the guests to "demand" a few rooms
Masuria is very well known because of its lakes and forests. Typical masurian cuisine is also worth of taste. However, it's not so easy to do it, because the number of restaurants with proven food and service quality is very limited throughout the region. The Restaurant "The Old Mill" is the place you should visit when you are in Niegocin lake region. The restaurant is only a few miles from Giżycko and offer you good choice of typical masurian dishes. The room is not so cosy, but during summer days you may eat your lunch or dinner on the grass behind the house. View on the lake is another extra. The cook offer you the best of traditional masurian food prepared from fresh fish, forest mashrooms and dumplings. The prices are very reasonable, especially in a proportion to quantity of food. I recommend that place.

Our restaurant has been designed in a rustic style. Its assets are: - a stylish fireplace - original decor - a terrace overlooking the lake. We specialize in regional, home-made cuisine. Our specialty is fish.
After a disappointing dinner the previous evening in a restaurant close to the Gizycko marina, we tried Rybaczowka restaurant, located on the shores of lake Niegocim about 9-10 km south of Gizycko. The restaurant specializes in local fish which is served whole, either baked or grilled. On the first evening we went, they did not have the smoked small fish or fish paté for starters, so we had some smoked eel - also good. The baked fish was a zander of about 1.2 kg, which proved enough for 3. The next night we had a baked sturgeon. Both fish were very good. The smoked fish and fish paté we had on the second evening was very good, and we ordered some as take away for breakfast the next day. The local beer is fine, and there is a small wines list which sells (cheap) white and red wine . For the price charged for the wine, do not expect stellar quality......

The restaurant is located just across from the swinging bridge over the canal. It has indoor and outdoor eating areas, which are heated! My waitress spoke English. Service was prompt and courteous! I had the perch chips with garlic butter and strongbow cider. Very tasty and well priced.

We arrived in town rather late for lunch and, initially reluctantly, choose this place, which is obviously relatively new in a modern development. It was a very good choice: original dishes, good quality ingredients and well prepared. Friendly, efficient service. Recommended.

We ate here twice during our stay. Breakfast was excellent, good value, efficient service, also appreciated by locals and sailors. Quality of the food at dinner was equally good, but slow service and, particularly, difficulty in getting attention was frustrating and spoilt our meal to a degree.
