We enjoy eating at places with character instead of the cookie cutter chain restaurants and The Portsmouth Brewing Co certainly has character! The outside of the building invites you in and the brewery decor inside has a warm welcoming feel.Hubby, son and I had been hiking at Shawnee State Park and went to Portsmouth Brewing Co for dinner and drinks. Hubby had the Pilsner and my son had the Bobcat Tracks. Both were happy with their choicesThe onion ring appetizer was yummy-real onion rings. A tad greasy but not bad.We all had Lasagna, which came with salad and breadsticks. The meal was reasonable priced and quite tasty! Our waitress was friendly and did a good job of taking care of us.I would certainly recommend this place to someone looking for a casual, fun place to eat and drink that isnât overpriced.
Just like your typical Little Caesars. The wait time on the hot and ready in minimal, and the staff is very friendly. A great experience overall!

While traveling on St. Rt. 52 east through Portsmouth Ohio you will see a sign that says "Fred's Pizza Express"..Stop at this point. For a fun, family friendly pizza joint decorated in more NASCAR memorabilia than you can count. A huge menu & the pan pizza the best I've ever had. There are no "adult beverages", but the smiles, food & service make up for it. If you want to take on the 26" Pizza Challenge, go for it. 2 people, 26" pizza, 26 minutes, win or lose you'll have your photo taken & get a t-shirt..This place is a blast!!

We were a large group and we didn't upset them at all. We talked for awhile, but they never tried to hurry us out. Now ... the food. The buffet was filled with a nice variety of hot pizzas; and each one of them was yummy. The salad was fresh. Definitely will return.
I grew up in Sciotoville, and Giovanni's was a staple of my childhood. Little League pizza parties, after school events, Friends' birthday parties, and the occasional take-out night when mom didn't want to cook. I mention all that because my visit yesterday after fifteen years of living out of town was as if not a year had passed. The consistency of the food is remarkable. Thankfully, the food is excellent, so that consistency is a great thing. Try the pizza, of course, but the sandwiches are the best. The hot ham and cheese is my absolute favorite sandwich, period. Also, don't leave without both a chocolate and peanut butter no bake cookie. Phenomenal!!! Highly recommend if you're anywhere near the Portsmouth/New Boston/Sciotoville/Wheelersburg areas.
Pizza Hut restaurants have mainly the same thing on the menu: pizza, breadsticks, and salads. Some offer sub sandwiches, pastas, and wings. But the thing that I have found with most Pizza Huts is consistency. If you are a fan of the food served at Pizza Hut restaurants, then you will not be disappointed with this location. The food was good as always. Service was very good, despite a busy Saturday evening. The restaurant was fairly clean for the crowd; the bathroom needed a little attention. Outside that, this was a very good experience.
This location is always busy. It gives good service, pizza and items are fresh. Iâd recommend 10-15 minutes of planned wait time if visited during lunch or dinner hours!

It was right next to the hotel but wouldn't go there again. No beer and they serve pizza! The croutons on the salad I had were hard and unedible. The sandwich my husband had was ok but the onion rings were kind of greasy.
