My husband and I use to bring our boys here all the time when they were little and we lived in the area. When we are back visiting we always make sure to stop in and have lunch. I use to get the chicken finger dinner. My husband the double cheeseburger, then sometimes our 3 boys would split a pizza and fries or if we were really treating we would let them order whatever they wanted. We always left full and very satisfied! Cute Lil tid bit: My oldest son (23 in Sept), when he was around, I'll say around 12. Well one of the waitresses was really cute and my son was always the Lil ladies man, so he walked back up to the counter and says really cute "Excuse me, I don't mean to be rude or disrespectful, but you are really beautiful." The girl was probably around 16 maybe 17. Well let me tell you both of their faces were so red it made the tomatoes look pink. Lol She had a huge smile on her face and when he turned around it looked like he was gonna bust, his face was so pink. It was so cute I wish I had a camera with me at the time. The things we remember just simply by writing a review about a Pizza Place. Talk about memory lane.
Lola's Pizzaeria has stiff competition and meets the challenge! There are 3 pizzaerias in Bellows Falls, just the other end of the bridge over the river, and all have their devoted followers. The key to its success is that the next pizza place on the Nh side of the river is in Charlestown, several miles away. Lola's offers the usual range of toppings, and has your order ready in very little time. We've enjoyed several from here. My one complaint is that their Margarita is not traditional and light, but is heavy.

Returned to this place after 5+ years of not being in the area on an early Friday afternoon. The place was empty, which should have been our first clue.We got our go-to favorites, a special and chick/bacon/ranch. They were okay but no where near as much toppings as in the past. Just enough to say it had everything on the special. Both were so salty you could barely taste the toppings. Prices were average. The dining room is in dire need of repair and/or upgrading. Tables and seats were worn and dirty. The carpet, well, I wonder when it was last cleaned. Dusty too. The mens bathroom was absolutely disgusting. Unclean, smoke stained, filthy.I would assume volume and little competion are the main reasons for the lack of improvements.

OK -- I've sung the praises of another pizza place in Bellows Falls for years. Finally tried Pizza Palace this past weekend, and I am stunned at how wrong I've been! Pizza Palace is clearly the tops -- a crust that is light & crunchy yet strong enough to pick up and eat in your hand. A very wide array of toppings, and specialty pizzas with some excellent combinations. And, they bake it long enough for the cheese to begin to brown -- gone are the days of those soggy crusts and barely melted cheesey bits of the competition. The one drawback? Pizza Palace does not have its own parking lot. It is located downtown, has curbside parking and a large pharmacy lot just across the street. Good enough for me - I'm a convert now!

This is a locally owned pizza house in a residential neighborhood (so only street parking, no parking lot). For my taste the dough is too thick and the sauce too sweet and the list of toppings limited and not always totally fresh. That said Famous certainly has its faithful followers. Eat in area is small and they do not take credit cards, so hit the cash machine down the block before you go.
