Needed somewhere for drink and early dinner after a day looking round museums. This place looked busy so we took a table for two outside. I had blackened chicken burger with side of chef's vegetables. The chicken was excellent, the vegetables (baby squash, pepper, onion and garlic) were absolutely delicious. We had to wait a while for attention, initially, and the bill took ages to arrive but he food more than made up for it.

It is 4 miles from the house so carry out is better for me and the prices a little cheaper. Never had a bad pie from them
Usually offering a special like a slice of pizza and a drink for a real good price. Just look at the front window to see what they are offering that day.The people here a nice and the food is good, prices weren't bad either, but the dining room needs some serious help. Chairs with the backs broken on them and cheap plastic table cloths with holes in them, being taped up with packing tape. Looked as if they picked up all of it at an old business that auctioned it off and they got it for cheap. Would be better if they ditched the table cloths and repaired or replaced the few chairs that are broken instead of leaving them out for customers to see.Would really like to support this business as they are a small business and not one of those chain restaurants and the food was good, would like to try several things on their menu, but they need to look like they are at least trying to make an effort to bring people into the dining room.

We had been to this restaurant when it first opened and weren't overly impressed. However, we recently learned that on Sundays, they offer free Canolis for dessert. The dining room(s) are clean and quickly bused for incoming guests. The servers are prompt and neatly dressed in uniforms. The menu is pretty standard, without much imagination or deviation from 'Americanized Italian' options. My husband got baked spaghetti, which looked and tasted like Chef Boy ArDee. I ordered what I thought was clam white sauce (only described as white sauce), but it turned out to be garlic and oil...which was ok, but not what I expected. The clams were still in shell, so clearly not mixed with the sauce. It was ok, but not what I expected and nothing to write home about. Nothing comes with the meals (such as a salad), and the roles were hard, and hardly done baking. The inside tasted very doughy. The server didn't bring up the canolis until we asked about the dessert menu. We noticed that no one in our vicinity had canolis, so perhaps they weren't offering them anymore. It turns out they did have them, and they were the best thing of our lunch.I can remember now why we didn't return. As my husband said, "at least we didn't spend a fortune to be reminded."

We stopped by for a few beers on Taco Tuesday, when tacos are priced at $3.00 each. Three taco choices were offered, so we ordered all three. All were mediocre; a few basic ingredients with little seasoning or flavor. These days, in Roanoke, their are a couple of relatively new and delicious places to eat tacos; Tucos Taco Lounge and Cabo Fish Taco are two that pack their tacos with full flavor. I don't see much of a reason to return to Fork in the Alley beyond the beer.

Short walk from Hotel Roanoke & Conference Center, recommended by local business contact. The atmosphere is bright and warm. High ceilings, solid wood block tables, wood panels on walls and cool wall decor. Large and good selection of wines. Had an excellent Chianti. Had Mussels appetizer- good but not as good as Luckyâs. However the table bread was phenomenal-asked for more! Our party ordered a range of dinners and all were happy. The Italian Scallion pizza was pretty good. Finished it off with cannolis and a homemade limoncello. Very enjoyable dinner.

The location of this restaurant is very convenient for me, but the one time I went here it was unimpressive. They do a fair amount of takeout, which makes sense since the atmosphere/service is probably the #1 problem. The food is decent, though there were only 2 of us (and we were the only people in the restaurant) and they got it wrong. We ate it without returning it since we didn't want to wait for another pizza. Our glasses drained to nothing without being refilled as the waitress disappeared for long periods of time. We felt more like a burden than a customer.

Walked by this place numerous times. What a mistake. Meatball appetizer was amazing. Arepas were awesome. Tuna and steak were both great. Kevin our waiter was very helpful with the menu.
Stopped in for a late lunch. We ordered two different entrees and the waitress offered to put 50/50 on each of our plates where we where going to share them anyway. Large portions with great flavor. Service was wonderful and prompt. Price was good, we will be back for sure.

We probably order from NY Pizza four times a month and have never been disappointed. I get pizza more often than not and it is easily the best in Roanoke. Don't be fooled with the sizes though. When you order a "baby" pizza it is the size of most places medium sized pizzas. The ingredients are fresh and plenty and the crust is just a little crisp which is the way we like it. The subs are incredible and huge. Their cheesesteak sub could easily feed two and is very tasty. The Pizza rolls and Stromboli are also packed with toppings and flavor and are large enough to split with someone. You can eat in but there is no table service. You get a number when you order and go pick it up when the number is called.
