We hadnât been here in a while and decided to stop because we were nearby. Something was very different- the pizza really was not very good. The crust tasted different and the sauce was not the same as we remembered. Sorry but no reason to return.

We couldn't decide where to eat and it was eight o'clock,so we picked Italian Garden.Very dark with little light, waitress was nice, but was only server thereI had a chicken salad sub that wasn't anything to write home about, fries were hot.The whole thing was under ten bucks,so you get what you pay for,but it's average at best.

I am a very picky Italian who rarely eats out because we have the best Italian food at home. But Sciortino's is an exception to that! Truly one of the best Italian restaurants we have experienced. The food is spectacular and includes a variety of pastas, entrees, calzones, sandwiches, soups, salads and real NY pizza pies. My favorites include anything with their delicious ricotta - baked ravioli, stuffed shells, manicotti, and more. Save room (if you can!) for the tiramisu and especially the spectacular spumoni! The service is a great as the food. You will never be disappointed at Sciortino's!

Went to Sidewall for a family dinner. Had a great salad. Definitely big enough for us to share. Had several unique pizzas ( I recommend the mushroom and the potatoe ). Plan to leave a little room for dessert. Homemade ice cream was a winning finale.

After reading all of the good reviews, we felt like we were in the wrong restaurant! We went on a Friday night around 7:30 and it was not crowded at all. The owner greeted and seated us. We waited for a long time then he came back over and asked if we had been waited on. I told him no. Shortly thereafter our server came to the table. She was nice but not very helpful being this was our first time here. Being as service was so slow, we decided to go ahead and order our drinks, appetizer, and entree at one time. It took forever to get our drinks. Then out came our meatball appetizer. There were 3 small/medium meatballs in alot of sauce. They were overcooked and very dry, however, the sauce was delicious. I asked her if we could get some bread but I was told that it comes with the meal only. That was a let down. We then got our salads. I ordered a Caesar salad. When it was served she told me they were out of croutons...not good. My friend ordered an Italian salad. It was alot better than mine. After another while of waiting, we received our entrees. Yay, we finally get the bread!! It was like a garlic bread cut and toasted. It was okay but I just wish we had had some earlier while we waited. I ordered the chicken parmesan. It was not what I was expecting. The chicken was cut up in small pieces served with spaghetti in marinara sauce topped with mozzarella and parmesan in one dish. I didn't like that. My friend ordered the Mediterranean shrimp scampi. That too, was just not that good. During our meal, we had a switch in servers. Evidently there were only two servers there and our female server had to leave. Patrick was very friendly and very personable. The owner came over and was very nice but seemed to be making excuses for the issues that we found disliking. We were just looking so forward to going here. It is very easy to get to. It looks very small from the outside but is really a fairly good size restaurant. Time for our check. It was a handwritten check which was very unusual for this type of restaurant. I do not think we will be returning but am glad we went because now we know.

The Farehouse is a unique community restaurant with New American flare in Taylors. Our American restaurant has New York style pizza, pub-style appetizers, and deli sandwiches along with craft beer and wine. We have dinner specials for you to try the next
Our visit to The Farehouse was a wonderful experience. The restaurant is located in The Taylors Mill complex that is undergoing a revitalization of the old Southern Bleachery and Piedmont Print Works. The Farehouse has created a restaurant that is unique, extraordinary, and friendly. We enjoyed a small Farmhouse Salad and the Burrata Ensalada. If you are looking or an unusual restaurant that is off the beaten path, don't hesitate to seek out this eclectic restaurant.
