We are an independent, family run Italian Bistro located on St Marys Street Stamford. Our menu is based around great Antipasti, had stretched pizzas, tasty pastas and also grill dishes and salads. Our ingredients are sourced from local suppliers as much a
Food pretty good, esp the starters. Enjoyed the crab and the arancini. Mains were OK, nice gnocchi, pizza very oily though. Service was fine. Atmosphere is nothing special. Thanks very much for leaving us a review. Atmosphere is not really something we can control, if we are busy (which we usually are as you know) and people are engaging in conversation, the atmosphere will be naturally lifted. If you enjoyed our food and service, what more could we have done to make your experience a 5 star experience? Hopefully you will try us again,Jen

A beautiful pub dating back to 1280AD full of character with a luxurious feel. Perfect for a coffee or a quick pint but also a special place for lunch and dinner. Now serving Sunday Roasts with meat from the owners farm 2 miles from the pub.
Had a lovely Sunday lunch - 6 adults and 2 children. The food and service were simply excellent. Staff were very attentive and accommodating. The food was absolutely delicious from start to finish. We had Roast Beef, Roast Chicken, Seabass Salad and Pizza. Both roast dishes were full of flavour and in particular the gravy and cauliflower cheese were excellent. Good choice of red wine by the glass too. Finally we had 2 sharing desserts for the table as we fancied something sweet but not a full dessert each. Again it was a really lovely meal and we look forward to returning in the coming months.

This place clearly needs a revamp! The seat covers are ripped and repaired with tape. There was food under out table and dirty napkins under other tables which had been cleared and reset for the next cover. Admittedly we did visit on a Sunday afternoon, which was a little quieter than the usual Friday / Saturday night, but in the cold light of day, the place is really tired and standards are not the the usually high standard associated with this chain. I know times are hard in the sector, but you must keep up the basic standards else youâll be doomed. Staff were below average too...Didnât provide new cutlery after starters,Didnât offer water despite water glasses being laid on the table and offered no table talk other than taking orders. Not a personal experience at all.

Based in the heart of the Lincolnshire town of Stamford, the ASK Italian restaurant provides a stylish base in which to enjoy the culinary delights of Italian food at more than affordable prices. Offering a clean and crisp modern interior and a lovely pat
Visited after a trip to Belton House with three small children and couldn't fault the staff who were child friendly and service was quick. Food great from a varied menu, perfectly cooked and very tasty. Very accessible and a large dining area which was light and airy. Will certainly be visiting again soon.
I work in hospitality myself and have spent years dealing with difficult, rude and ignorant guests and customers. The manager here however has severally irritated me due to the treatment we received. I realise that of an evening there is a certain expected clientele, however having just purchased a couple of bottles of prosecco and a round of drinks we took a booth. One of the party promptly spilled his drink over the seating and my friend tried to get off the seat to stop the drink from ruining her dress, she was in the middle and in order to do this and wait for the others to move out so we could get the seat dried she had to lean up on the seat with her heels. Admittedly this wasn't the best treatment of nice leather booths but the manager came over demanded she get down, and repetitively demanded in an extremely rude manner for her to get off the seat whilst she was trying to get out and off the wet seat. I tried to explain and apologise however was promptly greeted with 'yeh but she needs to get off the seat' which I wasn't disputing simply trying to add context to the situation. We were in many ways at fault and I am not arguing this point, but the way in which we were spoken to and treated was extremely lacking. This is poor customer service whatever way you look at it, and would never be tolerated in my work place. Raise your standards. The other staff however seemed delightful, it was just the manager who was unprofessional.
