Find out what Pizza restaurants to try in Sousse. Sitting where the Phoenician colony of Hadrumetum once stood nearly 3,000 years ago, the modern-day Sousse is a resort destination, especially popular with Europeans. Sometimes called "the Pearl of the Sahel" (referring to the central section of Tunisia's eastern shoreline), Sousse is prized for its excellent beaches. Arab-Islamic since the 7th century AD, the city has many fascinating attractions, like the 9th-century Great Mosque, and its medina is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Things to do in Sousse
nothing to dislike everything was good food cooked well sevred well could not have asked for a better time was looked after very well
Pizzeria Buonerba serves excellent pasta dishes and succulent seafood. My favourite was Grilled Dourade. Creamy Gorgonzola & walnut pasta was also irresistable. Service was very friendly and quick, although we did not have a common language. Food was always very good and right temperature. They could easily charge more. A small minus was sand in clam pasta, but that you get frequently every where. We visited almost all the recommended restaurants i Sousse, but liked Buonerba most. Fortunately it is situated in the same building as our hotel, Le Hotel Monaco.

Having looked around for a good place to eat and finally coming across this place we decided to give it a try. First impressions was it's a nice clean shop with friendly staff. Then we decided to order and I have to day the food was amazing and we definitely recommend a visit.

Small but modern. Not on the route touristique but any taxi driver will find it as it's well known. Very popular with visitors and locals alike and a great hit with families. One of the best pizzas you'll find in Sousse. Can't comment on the other food as I just go here for pizza but I did have a nice dessert there at one time.

We asked for the garlic bread with cheese and salami and a portion of chicken wings as a starter, to be followed by a steak and a chicken cordon bleu. The garlic bread had no garlic, butter or oil on it, a tiny amount of cheese and one sad specimen of salami stuck in the middle. The chicken wings actually came out with the main courses instead of as a starter, but heh hoh not a problem, apart from the fact that they were the driest, most tasteless, breaded and deep fried bits of chicken we have ever tasted, oh, unless you want to count the chicken cordon bleu, which was also dry and tasteless. As for the steak, well, I think we would have been better trying to eat the bottom of our espadrilles. It was only about 3 mm thick and had the very soul cooked out of it. We had about 2 mouthfuls each, paid the bill and left. Well, if you'd ever met my husband you'd know that he just doesn't leave food, which should give you an idea of how bad we thought it was.
The food is sooooo delicious with reasonable price.Perfect place for family and friends , not the best place where to be in a couple (not romantic).Try Pasta there , it is the best thing they serve.

Our Daughter is married to a Tunisian so we visit Sousse often to see family. We always meet friends at La Veranda as its right on the main drag so a great place to people watch. They do a range of Pizzas, omlettes,Begals, Ice creams Gooey cakes and an endless list of teas coffees and chocolate drinks. Its the cheapest place I have ever been to when compared to the UK and although the Waiters tend to favour the locals you do get served eventually.

This place leans heavily towards seafood and specialises in brik (thin pasty encasing a filling with egg and herbs - typical traditional Tunisian dish) as well as their seafood/fish soup - see photos including the menu Try the seafood brik but be careful of the egg that may have a yolk that will run out - can be cooked hard if you prefer The home-made soup is not spicy but is very tasty and filling They also do pizzas and calzoneOpen until 22:30 most nights and later in the Summer MonthsRecommended - Enjoy
