As of the 2010 census, the population of the city was 9,039. Sheffield is the birthplace of "country-soul pioneer" and songwriter Arthur Alexander, French horn player Willie Ruff, notable attorney, actor, former senator and presidential contender Fred Thompson, Watergate committee U.S. Senator Howell Heflin and U.S. Senator Mitch McConnell, whose father was working in nearby Athens when he was born. It sometimes is referred to as "the City of Senators" due to the births of Heflin, McConnell and Thompson within its borders. Col. Harland Sanders worked in the Sheffield depot for Southern Railway in the 1900s. It is also home to the Muscle Shoals Sound Studio where many popular 20th century musicians recorded their work, including Alexander and Ruff. It is the site of historic Helen Keller Hospital, formerly known as Colbert County Hospital and originally constructed in 1921. It was changed to Helen Keller Hospital in 1979, and Keller's birthplace Ivy Green is located less than one mile southwest of the hospital in adjacent Tuscumbia.

I'll never,ever be back! Had THE WORST PIZZA EVER TRIED TO EAT IN MY LIFE! The order was completely wrong,and just barely Luke warm,and this WAS A MAKE- UP ORDER that was completely messed up before! I think that cooperate should be aware of this before they have to close their doors! Its a shame,because I use to love to eat at this location on Woodward ave. But it sure does need new management,and SOON,or I don't see a very long future for them

The Domino's Pizza places in the Florence area are better than most. I particularly like the one in Petersville. The pizzas actually look like the ones in the photos of their ads. 90% of the time I go by and order Carryout. It is easy and it is on the way home. They are always cooked right...not burnt...not underdone like some other pizza places in town. Just Very Good Pizza!

Here goes my first one star review for Tripadvisor. Chuck E. Cheese in Sheffield is really showing its age. I'd not been here in over 20 years and I believe they may have had some of the same games from 1995. I have many great memories of this place from the eighties when it was Showbiz Pizza but it's went downhill. Some of the games were out of order and many of them were old and dirty. My son had a good time as I'm sure most kids would but this place needs a good cleaning. One of the girls working in the prize area had no clue what she was doing. By the way, we waited for over 5 minutes for someone to even come over to the prize section. This place was so understaffed! Next, we waited by the door so that a worker could check our hand stamps before we left. No one ever came over to check the stamps so we just left. I witnessed others leaving without their stamps being checked, as well. Thus, their safety precautions aren't working here! Anybody could have left this place with my child. We won't be back. I'll drive to Franklin or Decatur before I come back to this dump.

The type of pizza and the flavors they serve are not the type we're used to. We're more used to the New York styles. Now the differences are not bad, it's just not the type we were able to enjoy. There were plenty of people in there enjoying their pizza.

Little Caesars in Muscle Shoals offers fast and friendly service. We stop in quite often and buy their $5 hot and ready pepperoni and cheese pizzas. Sometimes, we get the cheesy bread, too. The food is usually really good and it's always cheap.

We hosted a party here and everyone talked about how much they loved the food! Service is great and itâs just overall a great little diner. Iâve heard the pizza and wings are amazing but I havenât tried those yet.

Stopped in for another great meal at Ricatonis. We are salad, pizza and had drinks. Pizza cooked to perfection always. Service fast and friendly. Drinks made to order served quickly and taste delicious. Restaurant is always full and so you should expect noise level to be high. Enjoy the food!

I tend to come here with friends and their young children. The pies are consistently solid and the staff is really friendly. They seem to know how to seat customers to optimize their experience and always check in often. Super friendly folks and great pizza.
