Whenever we run errands in Seattleâs University District, we like to time our visit so we can eat lunch at Mamma Melina. This Italian restaurant has a really good-value 2-course menu then with many offerings and the food has always been excellent. But we arrived about 4:30 p.m. and that special had ended. The greeter initially ignored us and seemed rather grumpy when he acknowledged our presence. Finally, we were seated at a table in the big, beautiful, airy dining room and had dinner menus. We decided to split the beet, walnut and goat cheese salad. I chose chicken parmigiana for my main and my husband opted for lasagna. The salad was OK, but nothing special. My chicken proved to be tender and tasty but hard to find because of the massive amount of tomato sauce over it, which detracted from the dish. My husband noted that the lasagna had too much cheese. Our server was perfunctory and rarely anywhere in sight.A few customers sat in the dining room but the bar area was mostly full. Thatâs when I remembered the extremely good-value Happy Hour here with a large number of offerings. If we miss lunch in the future, we will head to the bar, where customers must sit for those Happy Hour prices. A parking garage attached to the restaurant offers free parking for patrons of Mamma Melina, and we left our car there.

We are serious about our pizzas! Blistered, thin crust pies with delicious toppings such as housemade fennel sausage, foraged mushrooms and imported cheeses. Biscuits are topped with everything from fried chicken and gravy to seasonal jams. Our bar featur
Jet lagged and looking for a great pizza place, we walked from our hotel in downtown Seattle to find Serious Pie. We arrived around 3:30 and ordered pizza, drinks and one biscuit to share. Everything was absolutely delicious - even the pickiest of the kids loved it. Although it was a bit on the pricey side, we had some left over to take back to our room. Our server was helpful and gave us recommendations for other restaurants in the area we might like to try during our visit to Seattle.

We ate here after reading TA reviews and weren't disappointed. It's very dark in the bar but it's obviously popular as it was pretty busy. We had the spicy Mac n Cheese which was delicious.

We founded Zeeks under the simple premise that pizza should be flavorful, not just cheap and fast. Donât get us wrong; we like fast and reasonably priced, but cheap can suck it. To be driven by flavor, you need to care about things like what kind of flour
I think this is the best pizza Iâve ever had. We ate this pizza twice in 4 days. I donât love marinara sauce, and they have pizzas that use olive oil instead of marinara sauce. They have great prices and a pretty extensive menu. I believe anyone could find something they like here. Good prices for beer as well. We absolutely recommend!

Love serious pie pizza. Itâs not cheap, but I would way rather have this pizza than your cheap pizza. Loved it. Itâs a true experience watching the chefs in the kitchen as well. Loved it. If there is a big lineup, WAIT.

These folks are awesome. Not only was the service stellar from each person who came to our table with food or water, but the salad and pizza slice were terrific. There are dietic options available too for those who are gluten free. I loved the hole in the wall atmosphere with a full bar and small tables for diners. I used open table to reserve a place and would recommend doing that because the line was out the door for lunch on a Friday. Can't wait to go back - heard they are moving to a larger location down the block soon.

Enjoyed sharing Caesar salad which was ample as a starter. My wood fired pizza w sausage was very good. They also have pasta and other Italian food so itâs much more than a pizzeria.
