E' stato durante gli anni '90 il locale più di tendenza della città e del territorio limitrofo, soprattutto come birreria disco-pub, nonostante l'ambiente è piccolo poichè si tratta di una antica "casella", circondata da orti e frutteti, alla quale era stata cambiata la destinazione d'uso. L'arredo interno aveva mantenuto i caratteristici richiami della cultura materiale di San Giovanni in Fiore. A partire dal 2002 il locale ha cambiato più volte gestione, purtroppo con scarsa fortuna. L'ultima gestione aveva cercato di rilanciarlo proponendo anche qualcosa di nuovo, ad esempio la pizza fatta nell'antico forno a legna, purtroppo senza riuscirci.

Not easy to find but when you there you will have great time there ...food you never expect in this mountain village...nice owner and Italian style like .....Just go there and try...soon it will be also a B&B in this town...just ask the owner

We came with friends for a booking at 20:00 for the children and 20:30 for the adults. At 22:00 the adults started to get served but the place thought it best to serve half our table and half another table of another group. To finish it all they were rude. Disgraceful. Avoid

Muy buena opcion para cenar en San Giovanni, lo encontramos de casualidad y la pasamos muy bien, tomamos el menú del dia de 2 platos, entrada de fiambre y pastas, todo muy rico a buen precio, lindo y agradable ambiente.

Locale eccellente dove è possibile degustare piatti tipici conditi dalla genuinità dei prodotti tipici di luoghi lontani dalla smunta realtà commerciale. Ciò rende insuperabile il rapporto qualità /prezzo. Calorosa accoglienza e grande simpatia da parte dei gestori e dei collaboratori. Lo consiglio.

We stayed at this hotel and ended up eating here every night for dinner. We tried most things on the menu and it just kept getting better. Originally, we kept seeing people order the french fries and thought that was crazy to go all the way to Italy and order french fries. Our last night there we tried them and realized we have been missing out the whole week we were there! They have the best french fries we have ever had - we didn't know the potatoes in that area were special. The pizza is delicious and the octopus salad is to die for. The steak can be cut with a fork and the grilled zucchini is out of this world. They have a pasta dish with homemade spaghetti, fresh tomatoes and basil and local cheese (I think it is a cross between mozzarella and ricotta) - I have never had anything so good. Every night the food just kept getting better. Unfortunately, we were always so full we never tried the desserts but we did see them and they looked amazing. Next time....

With the group of prayer "Beata Antonia Maria Verna", all together, we celebrated Immaculate day, in 2014, under the dress of laical practicing catholics. We were eating very good dishes while we were listening good music. We led our italian words between rich glasses of wine. Several of us had left their families in their houses, adorned for feast but, we found a right ambient, also there in "Da Paura". Around three months ago, I had ate in this place so graceful and, I'm very happy, that it received our profession of faith so kindly. We are going again, for other good dishes, "Da Paura"; a continuous improvement in his way to think and cook.

I have been here several times. The pizza is the best in town. It is cooked properly with great ingredients and is plentiful. The pasta is also wonderful, with many local ingredients and touches.Great place to eat but make reservations in the summer otherwise you risk not getting in.Pat from Ottawa, Canada
