Salt Rock is a small town just north of Ballito and Shaka's Rock on the Dolphin Coast of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. It is a favorite holiday destination for many local South Africans. It is about 40 minutes north of Durban. There are plenty of fishing spots along the coast from Salt Rock, through Shaka's Rock to Ballito and Salmon Bay. Salt Rock owes much of its history to Basil Hulett and his wife Gwen who started not only the Salt Rock Hotel but went on to develop the town of Salt Rock as found today. Nightlife in the small town is limited with a handful of pubs and restaurants offering a variety of food and drinks. A new development, Sheffield Manor, is situated in Salt Rock as well as the newly built Tiffany's Shopping Mall.

Popped in for a quick lunch before flying. Absolute best burger by a million miles. What a treat and best value money anywhere. Ended upstaying so long we nearly missed the plane!!!! Free small appetiser. Very attentive staff. Was quite astonishingly good.

The new market at Lifestyle is fantastic. Well done to the Lifestyle Centre for reinventing themselves and offering such a trendy and modern dining experience, itâs really brought the north coast up and compares with anything Cape Town has to offer! We had delicious peri peri chicken at Bird & Co whilst enjoying live entertainment... a fun evening had by all!

During the last month we have been to this restaurant several times. The main pub overlooks a dam which has kids facilities by the dozen. The service is outstanding and the grub, mostly pub style, is tasty. We like this place for the friendly atmosphere and will go back.

This restaurant offers daily specials from Monday to Friday. We went for the "2 for 1" Pasta special on Monday, my hubby and I each tried different pastas, both absolutely delicious, not a scrap left on the plates. Will be making this a regular thing.

Nice find in this area. Laid back, relaxed atmosphere - we were seated on the verandah. Trees offering leafy shaded areas down below. Life music echoed from the cobbled square below. We opted for the Durban curry mutton, which was juicy and spicy, yet not too hot. Service was good,order taken promptly, friendly staff. We did wait a little while for food to arrive but it was well worth the wait. Generous portions, reasonable priced. Homely food.Many thanks for taking the time to review us, we look forward to welcoming you back again soon.

We are regular guests at La Piazza and I can honestly say, that it gets better and better. From the decor, kids facilities, bathrooms, food and service, Marco, Nureen and their team are phenomenal. Well done guys!

If you are a pizza fan this is without doubt the best in Ballito. Very pleasant evenings on the verandah having pizza and taking your own wine. Lovely vibe and good value.

Stopped here after warrior race on the saturday. Service was good. My husband has burger which was disappointing and dry. Nice chips though. Parents in law had fish and chips which they said was good. I had lemon calamari salad which was excellent. Good coffee for a cold day.

The food was ok but the staff was clearly very put out when we remarked that the noise from the kitchen was unpleasant. We were made to feel that we were being unreasonable. There is a significant difference between noise and sound. Loud, constant jabbering from a restaurant kitchen is noise. However, the owner/ managerâs sarcastic comment as we left was, âDrive home in silence.â Interestingly, we were the only patrons.
