We were in the area with friends so decided to enjoy dinner together before the show. BEST Italian food ever. Lukus was our server and took the time to explain the many excellent choices of food & drink they offer. Although it isn't close to home, we all agreed we would have to return. So many items to choose from ~ it could take us a few visits to try them all. Great value considering the quality of the food and excellent service.

There are a number of ways to evaluate the value of a service provider: Location, Food, Service, Cleanliness, Atmosphere, etc & from our experience Taniaâs Pizza Carry-Out succeeds on only one score: âLocation ranking 5â. I stopped to order a pizza and then get gas next door waiting for the pizza to be ready. When I ordered & paid, the associate said your pizza will be ready in 15 to 20 minutes. I noted the time and went to fill up the tank. Upon return I waited a total of 30 minutes before the pizza was ready (10 minutes over expected 15-20), and when I asked for my receipt I was handed the kitchen order, not a copy of what I signed: âSERVICE ranking 1â. Generally the pizza had very little taste; the crust was hard like drywall, the sparse sauce had no zest, the mushrooms had little taste, and the pepperoni had NO taste â perhaps because it was sliced so thin: âFOOD ranking 1â. Taniaâs is mainly a liquor / wine / beer shop: âATMOSPHERE ranking 3â. âCLEANLINESS ranking 3â. To us SERVICE and FOOD are the most important elements for a provider and such a low ranking on these two elements does not merit any positive Recommendation. Sorry, so disappointed.

This carryout pizza place never disappoints. We've had it about two dozen times and it's always consistently great. It has the best oil cup pepperoni on the planet and everything from the cheese, sauce, toppings, and cheese bread are all high quality. I've never had delivery or any other menu item besides the round pizza so I can't vouch for the rest. We did have them cater a party for us once and they made it a very easy process and everything was spot on. It's hard to ask for more. The price is a little on the higher side for pizza and you won't find too many coupons but to me it's worth it. They don't skimp so nor should you. Keep up the good work.

Our kids wanted us to try Detroit style pizza while we were in town, so they ordered up some Buddy's takeout. It was excellent! Detroit style turns out to be square pizza slices, with cheese going right to the edges - and it's thick. Needless to say, we loved it and it did not take much to get full!Stanley, thank you for your positive review. Had friends in town last night and had been referred to this restaurant. The server was an older man that barely waited for our reply as he was already walking away to another table. We had lackluster appetizers and The 4 different entrees were absolutely horrible. Almost inedible. Drowning in a cheap red sauce. Seriously, jarred sauce from the grocery store is better. My chicken Tosca was smothered in a butter sauce that didn't improve the taste. Truly embarrassed with our dinner selection for our out of town guests and will not return.

This is by far the best pizza in metro Detroit area. Been coming here since 1982. It does get very busy on wknd nights, but worth it. A must when in Madison Hts, Michigan. When Iâm not out here, I will visit the one in Clinton Twp.

I came here with a friend before a concert and we both got flights and shared the Michigan salad and crab Rangoon pizza. It was all good! We loved the pizza!! They have a nice variety of beer, something for everyone. The flight glasses are decent sized too so you get a good sample. I will be back!

Nice restaurant, it has two areas, one which is self order and cafeteria style. The other section is a full service restaurant with a full bar. The wait staff was very attentive, courteous and aimed to please!Our waiter was great and made our night enjoyable!The food was delicious, My husband and I split the spaghetti and meat balls. Delicious but the meat balls are quite spicy! One friend ordered a personal pizza and said it was outstanding. Another ordered the salmon sandwich which came with potato chips, the salmon was perfectly cooked. I would definitely recommend this restaurant if youâre in Berkeley, Michigan.

Located in the lively downtown city of Royal Oak, this restaurant/bar serves typical American fare- hamburgers, sandwiches, salads, fish & chips, & pizza. I had the fish & chips, & my girlfriend had a salad. Both were okay, but nothing out of the ordinary. Drinks (wine) were generous, staff was friendly. In fairness, we found out from a family member after our visit that this restaurant is known for their great pizza, so we will return soon to check it out. Reasonably priced with a nice atmosphere.

A great selection for people out of town. It has a very welcoming vibe and a small town feel. It is a great restaurant to start drinking at before a night out in royal oak or to end a night of drinking either way it should be a stop for any royal oak visit.
