Romford is a large town in east London, and the administrative centre of the London Borough of Havering. It is located 14.1 miles (22.7 km) northeast of Charing Cross and is one of the major metropolitan centres identified in the London Plan. It was historically a market town in the county of Essex and formed the administrative centre of the liberty of Havering, until it was dissolved in 1892. Good road links and the opening of the railway station in 1839 were key to the development of the town and the economic history of Romford is underpinned by a shift from agriculture to light industry and then to retail and commerce. As part of the suburban growth of London in the 20th century, Romford significantly expanded and increased in population, becoming a municipal borough in 1937 and has formed part of Greater London since 1965. It now forms one of the largest commercial, retail, entertainment and leisure districts outside central London and has a developed night-time economy.

I like pasta more over pizza here. I know its more of pizza place but believe me, 90% I eat pasta here. Pizza's are okay if I compare with other pizza places. They are good as long as serve as hot. I also like starter share platter which has many small bites. So yes its worth trying.

Calzone pizza, slit the crust and what do you find hiding? Three small mouthfuls of chicken, a bit of red pepper with some onion and tomato. Last time I went to this restaurant the Calzone was delicious and packed with filling. Friends on another tables complained at the end about their hot food being served on cold plates. Aaaaggghhhh!! Places like this rely on âvoucher businessâ then inflate their prices to accommodate this. This said I thought the overall experience was poor and regional management need to really look st what theyâre doing here. Iâll take a lot of persuading to return.

At Zizzi we like to do things a little differently. We donât do over-complicated recipes or scrimpy portion sizes. Weâre all about the well-chosen ingredients, simply put together to make exceptional Italian food.Found at the end of the high street of thi
The cooking and service are well mannered but hopeless. The pizzas were cooked for the same length of time as the Calzone so they tasted more like baked cardboard than pizza. Cheese on on then pizzas was cooked so long it became solid. Calzone tasted nice. There seems a serious disconnect between the food preparation and the actual serving of food. Food is left on the side unless prompted to serve it. Someone elseâs desert including ice cream was left on the side to basically melt.

We visited Zizzi on a Sunday for lunch, we ordered one starter two main (adults) and two kids menu.We receive the food in this order: starter and one kids menus, about 30 min later (after chasing) the other kids menu. When I complained the waitress said 'You can do whatever you want with it'. We got the mains, one more starter that we haven't ordered and finally, after chasing, the desserts.

At Bunno we enjoy making our pasta every day and roasting our carefully selected coffee beans. You can enjoy them at our restaurant or take it away with you
Old Street, Shoreditch, Southwark and Covent Garden all have pasta bars par excellence. Itâs surprising indeed to announce that Romford now joins that list in the shape of The Bunno in South Street which describes itself as âYour Local Coffee Roasters and Fresh Pasta Makersâ. Well one afternoon a few months ago I tried the coffee and a tiramisu in a plastic pot, so finding myself in Romford at lunchtime popped in to try the pasta. Although the rear is laid out as a restaurant, one must order and pay at the counter where there is a display of pizza slices, muffins and pastries. There are five or so types of pastas which come with a choice of topping. I opted instead for one of the three filled pastas of the day a tortellini filled by minced pork rib in a thick tomato sauce. Accompanied by a glass of Chianti this proved a deeply satisfying dish.

This is a spacious and modern restaurant. Service is both friendly and intuitive. There is a great selection of food on offer including daily specials and set menus during the day. The building appears to accessible and there is seating at the front of the building. my fresh pizza was cooked to order and was filling. My starter of mushrooms in breadcrumbs was served in a small basket. Plenty of buses pass the restaurant and it is close to Romford Train Station. I'll definitely return.
