My friend suggested that we try Pat's to grab lunch and catch up. It was lunchtime on Saturday but there was plenty of seating for such a small place. We ordered a pitcher of beer and a large pepperoni & jalapeno pizza. The beer was cold, the pizza was delicious, and the waitress was friendly but did not hover. It was the perfect spot for us to shoot the bull and enjoy some great food.Full disclosure: I worked at Pat's Pizza in Orono for about 6 months, circa 1988, while in college. Pat Farnsworth used to make the secret pizza sauce every night down in the basement while I washed pizza pans and sauce pots at the end of my shift. I appreciated that job and always admired his dedication to making sure the sauce was made to his standard.

Have ordered food from here many times and always enjoyed it. We always order pizza for family get-together's and we recently started ordering wings, too. They have been a big hit and are now requested by everyone. Make note that the fries are oven baked. I like them that way, and the menu specifically tells you they are, but some people prefer french fries cooked in oil. Big Cheese is a good choice if you are looking for pizza shop food in PI.

We hadn't been to a Pizza Hut for years but we were hungry and it was close. We were quickly seated upon arrival. We had to wash up and both bathrooms were acceptably clean. Our waiter was welcoming and friendly. He explained a few ordering options and answered all our questions. The pizza took about ten minutes to arrive and in the meantime we visited the salad bar. Fairly standard offerings but all quite fresh and tasty. When the pizza arrived it smelled great, and tasted better. The Medium is really enough for two so when we were stated, there was plenty left. Our server brought boxes without even being asked. The price was very good, the food and service were excellent. We will be back the next time we are in the area.

I will start by saying I love a good sandwich, and I went out looking for just that! I started down HWY 1 towards town and bang, there it was. Great service, and smells. The menu is a sandwich lovers holly grail, and they have a good selection. I got the spicy Italian, loaded. The bread was fresh made on the premises, and the cold cuts were fresh. The dressings were also on point. Good selection of pizza as well, I was very pleased. I would eat here every week if I lived in this nice little town. Downside, very little seating, but that was it. I cant imagine a better sandwich shop on HWY 1.
While I love Big Cheese pizza for a traditional pizza, the Pizza Box offers some different options for folks who don't want the usual pepperoni pizza. Give their buffalo chicken or cheeseburger pizza a try! They also deliver now, which is awesome. You won't be disappointed here.
